Everytime the camera locks onto Appleton his lips don't move, just standing there hands in his pockets stone faced. Dobson is no leader either. We have nobody who rolls his sleeves up and demands better standards and performances.
It's why we are such a soft touch. Most spineless bunch of players I have seen at the club for a long time.
The loans are the worst I can ever remember and there have been some right hopeless cases down the years.
Time we stopped basing borrowed places on who's available. Let's start with who's any good.

Dobson leads by example. He’s not a leader though.
We need a CB or CM who will lead the team. A physical presence as well as mental.

Appleton picked the side, it was fine. The players didn't perform easy as.
Last thing we need is another change of manager, which is where this is leading.

But surely we need a manager to get the players to perform . Recent performances would suggest Appleton can’t do this . Bit early for him to be sacked as he inherited this bunch of losers from Holden . Let’s see how January pans out . |

Appleton is obviously not that happy about the squad but can't demoralise them or we'd just lose every game. So he does his best to get us to perform in the next game.

After performances like Saturday it makes it easier to understand why Jason Pearce was still being picked long after his legs had gone. Frankly, if he were willing to put his boots on again, I'd be tempted to put him back in now.

Again absolutely no leadership on the pitch. Nobody grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck. You look at your manager and he's stood there like somebody waiting for a bus so you look around for your senior players to step up but they don't.
