Wonder if their fans can look past his previous city connections?
Seemed a no nonsense, hard working bloke. Wonder if they will go back in for JCH in Jan?

I'll be honest. Despite him being a likeable chap I'm not sure that he, really, improved our results very much last season. Clearly his preparation of the side this summer was below acceptable - in terms of fitness, at the very least, so I'm not sure that he has what it takes to be a manager.
This, plus the fact that his record, when he joined us, was, hardly, very impressive makes me think that his management career could be short.
As I say he came across as a decent bloke, and his comments demonstrated that he was a real football fan before his playing career but, for someone that had Sam Allardyce for a manager for three years, he didn't seem to have a huge tactical awareness.

Dean Holden is being linked with the managerial jobs at Burton Albion and Plymouth Argyle today.
It’s interesting to read the comments on social media in response from Bristol City fans - in short, a nice guy but not the greatest manager.
I hope Dean gets another shot at a manager’s job, although you’d think that after his last two experiences in the hot seat, this will be his final opportunity to be a success.
