The good thing is he walked off .. he was pissed of but it did not look that serious

He put his hand right to his hamstring when he pulled up but seemed to be walking relatively freely so hopefully just a strain. He's been quite useful for us since coming back. He should have a no sprinting rule and just focus on holdup play.

Build the team around him...seriously though he's a cracking sub, why some people's body's break down is a mystery and no physio has the perfect answer for Chucks, Darren Anderton, Ledley King etc.

Yesterday he looked more mobile and faster than he has up to now. I started to feel that he might, just, be getting fitter and stronger.

Hopefully this is nothing too serious but history suggests that we might not see him for a while.

It was a bit of a worry that when he scored he just stood there and didn’t run to celebrate with his teammates.

Agree that he certainly looked more mobile and involved. Start of the second half things started to click. The club might release some news tomorrow and we will see the team sheet for Lincoln away in less than 48 hours.

By this I mean Appleton needs to choose two out of Leaburn, Tedic and Campbell to start alongside May and CBT. Perhaps Chem Campbell reappears too?

Was settling into getting used to Aneke for 30-45 minutes every game - let's hope recovery doesn't take to long.

He looks like being out for a couple of months. We all know he shouldn't be overplayed and can only last 30mins or so, it is therefore incredibly naive of Appleton to start him in games particularly when other alternatives were available.

Are we though? I feel like Tedic was brought in for Aneke 'cover' and Aneke was a luxury.

We play 1 striker role and have Tedic, May, Leaburn. The fact we've been using these in other roles was to play them all. However, I think we have cover if they are just playing ST.

We have players returning who can play the 10 role. Whilst I think Leaburn can play the wide role (some might disagree), it's not an issue if he doesn't. We have the two Campbells as options there.

We were heavily loaded in ST for the fact that Aneke wasn't likely to play much imo.
