Am afraid that I am responsible for them staying up. They started winning after I put money on them to be relegated 🙄 Should’ve put money on them staying up! Win win

I saw a post on this forum a few weeks back that said that Millwall fans are obsessed with Charlton.
The way we keep going on about them, I would say the opposite is the truth.

Am afraid that I am responsible for them staying up. They started winning after I put money on them to be relegated 🙄 Should’ve put money on them staying up! Win win Yes, you should have. 5 straight wins! Millwall 1-0 Leicester Millwall 3-1 Cardiff City Sunderland 0-1 Millwall Millwall 1-0 Plymouth Argyle Swansea 0-1 Millwall That is some record, even for us. Finished 13th and were only nine points short of our points tally from last season. There will be some investment in new players during the summer (desperately need a tall target man) but not expecting huge sums of money to be spent, but with these new inclusions and Harris integrating some of our cup winning U18 and U21 players into the team, I genuinely believe we can make the play offs in a relatively comfortable way next season. I now await from some of you, hearty congratulations (through gritted teeth) for going on a 5 match winning run and surviving another season in the Championship!

If I remember correctly, Harris’s first game back in charge was a very impressive 2-1 at Southampton? Overall, results since then have been incredible. Well done him. What he’s achieved is Warnockesque. I suspect making the playoffs next season will be a very tall order though without a much bigger wage bill and my guess is that’s not likely. If Harris gets you into the top six nevertheless then hats off to him.

Why is there one of them posting on here? I have family who are made up of Millwall and Charlton fans. Both sides give each other banter. It’s all good fun at the end of the day. I don’t hate Charlton or Charlton fans as I’ve grown up with them all my life, living in Kent as I always have. You seem to have a problem with Wall fans, though. Care to explain why?

I know it is a terrible admission but in my Yoof I used to go to the Old Den when Charlton were in some far flung Northern town, I couldn’t afford to go to. This was back in the days of King, Cripps, Kitchener, Possee, Bridges, Allder, Dunphy etc
Always enjoyed the atmosphere. But I was only a kid. I grew out of it.

I hate Millwall, I'm Charlton through and through and it's natural to hate Millwall. That is irrelevant though, my question is why do you want to post on here, are you a closet Charlton fan or like most Millwall you're just obsessed with us?

That is irrelevant though, my question is why do you want to post on here, are you a closet Charlton fan or like most Millwall you're just obsessed with us? I initially joined this forum to warn all of you of the perils of potentially hiring Gary Rowett as your manager. Thankfully your club chose not to, and instead went with Nathan Jones, which turned out to be a good move as I doubt there are any Birmingham City fans at the moment who are waxing lyrical about Gary Rowett’s prowess as their manager. In answer to your question, no, I’m not obsessed with your club and neither am I a closet Charlton fan. I laid out my history between the two clubs in a previous response to you. Please don’t worry about me clogging up every post going forward. I’ll only respond to anything anyone has to say about Millwall’s new signings in the summer (if there are any posts about that), and naturally respond with banter if Charlton fans on here offer plenty of wit and sarcasm when we’re dumped out of one of the cups by some minnow, or when we’ve lost the first 5 games of the new season under Harris.

Re your last paragraph - I grew out of watching both teams as well. It was fun while it lasted though.
