Story in the independent about Newcastle , Wolves and Aston Villa all looking into legal action to break their contact with Castore .
It’s also mentioned that Charlton new owners not happy with the agreement and following a number of complaints and supply issues are looking at breaking their agreement

From someone connected with the Trust ..
That's because Castore do their deals in a strange way. They get a club signed up, take over the club shop, and employ the people in the club shop. Any profits from the shop, Charlton get a small percentage. Then, Castore will only obtain the materials for X amount of kit , training gear, etc. They do not get any materials, so once its gone, they do not order anymore and don't produce anymore. What they do is change the kit every year of the contract to boost profits, which does not benefit the club. They paid Newcastle £5 million a year. Newcastle are going with Adidas at something like £30 million a year. No brainer. Bigger manufacturers, better quality and able to meet demand.

That contract seems written for lower league clubs desperate for money. I don't see why Premier League clubs would agree to such terms.

I actually like their gear. Think it’s better than Hummel.

I don't mind the gear, just a complete lack of it!, has to be the worst selection of clothing since Ribero!
I wouldn't mind Adidas for a change, with an 80's retro style. My first ever shirt and also my favourite.

My first ever shirt and also my favourite. Retro 80s Adidas shirts would fly off the shelves. Al the kids will still buy one; all those that insist on collecting every shirt will buy one and all the middle age fans that have given up buying these overpriced, one year only, shirts will buy one. However, I suspect that Adidas have little, to no, interest in little old Charlton so they will not pay us as much as the third rate mickey mouse outfits that he have had over the years.

Exeter wore Adidas last night I’m not saying that Adidas won’t let us wear their kits, I just don’t think they will pay us anywhere near as much as the smaller companies will.

I see Appleton is strictly Stone Island .... I did buy a Castore Hoody, which was expensive and 2nd time out, the zip on the pocket broke. My main complaint is that the club shop has little interest in there. I thought Hummel was better quality, and their range was much better. It also seems a lot of clubs are unhappy with Castore.
