Ref on Saturday is ED DUCKWORTH…… another inexperienced non league ref who only in his first year in league 2 with only 6 games behind him suddenly he got a league one fixture guess who are Guinea pigs again …
Got a horrible feeling that once again we will be cursing a poor decision that costs us points hope I am wrong !!!

You really need to investigate on why refs are being fast tracked.
You may want to contact a grassroots level club girls or boys and ask how many refs are available to them.
You may want to ask the FA why there is so much money in the game that they only offer their refs £25 for important county cup games for potential four hours work. You may want to ask why refs are only paid between £30 - £45 games once again for three hours.
You may want to ask the FA and Nike why the refs have to purchase their kit and badges.
You may find the answers to your moaning.
Ps I’m sure that the refs are not doing it for the money.
Pps You may want to go on the one day and half refs course (paid by yourself not the fa!) and try having a go yourself to see how easy it is without no cameras to assist you.

You get paid more to ref 5 a side game at my local multi pitch setup. And no abuse or idiots telling you all the mistakes you make while watching 10 replays of every incident.

The refs of late do stand out as being hopeless, the continued stop start of games gets on my tits .

If only they could be taught some judgement I think all fans would be happier… everyone has to start at the bottom but poor decisions kill games..

It's consistency that's the key. Too many refs give a free kick to the opposition and not to us when we have a similar situation.
They book our players and not the opposition for similar offences.
It really looks biased, almost cheating in some cases!
That's what makes my piss boil!

Would be interesting to hear comments from opposition fans.

It has to play a part, as all fans believe the same thing about their clubs and decisions against them.

Spot on Yorkshire, we all think the refs are biased towards other teams but it's not the case, we probably got away with one on Saturday with an offside decision.
Not to say the general standard is poor, and stems from grass roots as suggested before.
At the end of the day if we play well enough, we will win regardless of the ref.
Did Ipswich and Plymouth get all the decisions last year?!.

I have refereed games .. even was asked to ref games not involving my team and was asked after being spotted at one game if I wanted to take it up. Two major points common sense and having played the game , sadly two things that are missing from league one refs .

A ref decision can change a result no matter if you play the best you can , we seen two games at the valley that would have been a diff outcome if both Bristol Rovers ( score was 1-1 ) and Port Vale ( we were leading 1-0) if the ref had sent the players off it would have been a diff game with a diff outcome

Just watching EFL highlights and Karlan Grant ruled offside from a corner. WTF? How can you be offside from a single touch goal? The commentary muddied the waters by saying he also impeded the keeper but there was no doubt the lino flagged for offside.
