Really interesting.
Most of the sides from 40th upwards would have quite serious Premier League aspirations in either the short or long term I think, which puts things into perspective a bit.

Not on facebook but why is the top comment a bloke saying Charlie Kirk? What does that mean? Someone tagging his mate I assume. It's not the Charlie Kirk who is happy to take home a ridiculous wage for training each week.

No real surprises in that table, but anyone whinging about the state of English football might want to think long and hard about the story it tells us.
Fifty one different teams have played in the Premier League in circa thirty years. Wow!! I wonder how many other Leagues in Europe can match that? This is NOT a closed shop.
If we take the top twenty teams in terms of Premier League points won, then the current top ten will be hard to catch. They look well set because they’re the biggest clubs. However, of the next ten in the top twenty, eight are not playing in the Premier League this season. That’s jeopardy with a capital ‘J’ and tells us the pyramid is still very fluid.
As for us, with fifty one teams having played in the Premier League it is a fact that at least seven teams which have played in it will be operating below the Championship at any point in time. That’s ‘At least’. At the moment it’s twelve teams because five teams currently playing in the Championship have never made it to the Premier League. We’re simply one of those twelve.
I’m in no doubt that the advent of the Premier League, and the money it’s brought into the game in England, has been transformational and directly responsible for the fact that interest in the game here has never been greater while crowds in Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are as high as they’d been for 70-years.
I really don’t envy the job of the Chairperson of the IREF, whoever has the misfortune to get that job.
