It comes across a bit brash and honest but I think it’s good/needed. It’s a results driven industry and I agree with all he says. A winning mentality is needed and targets need to be in place create a culture and mindset to move us upwards - even to just get out of this poop league!

I like what he says. No nonsense, high standards demanded. Let’s see if the Club walks the talk this season m.

What’s not to like about that interview? He means business, I’m backing them all the way!

Great interview and thanks for sharing the link. My takeaways are that Scott absolutely knows and believes we should be challenging for the top six, and that Holden had to go. Good that Scott and SMT made an early decision. He's very clear about wanting to return to the Championship, and that calling CAFC a great club simply won't help. Needs improvement in attitude and performances. And the squad is what it is until January, so Appleton must deliver. A couple of wins in the next few games will change everything... but we need to see games to discern whether Scott's approach is as effective as the presentation.

He certainly interviews well, let’s hope he can put his words in actions and drive the club forward.

The only good signing this summer was May - the one SE7 Partners didn't want. This is what happens when you only sign players on frees, loans, and who might have resale value later. Shambles of an ownership group.

Andy Scott is a winner and just the sort of character we need to see this club make its way up the leagues again. There’s a more professional feel about the club now and as far as I’m concerned that, in time, will see us out of this Micky Mouse league. But negativity breeds negativity and fan base almost seems brainwashed by years of defeat.

Scott came over as forthright and uncompromising. There was nothing wrong with that. But he undertook the recruitment and must realise that one or two experienced heads were needed to support the young players.

To be fair this is the third season in a row that we've found ourselves in 17th place and a change of manager. This when the expectation is to be competing within the top nine for a play-off slot. Ideally all that will change between now and end October with a few wins helping us close the gap on the likes of Barnsley, Portsmouth and Bolton. That will lift the mood as well as giving both Appleton and the fans a better idea of what this side can do. Quite a few on here and elsewhere commenting on the youth of our team. Having built the squad, I can't see this changing much. But in four months time these players will have another 20 games under their belts. That's an awful lot of men's football for those who are new.
