My local club, so I'll be there. They've made a good start to the season so it will be tough. Whatever people think of him Steve Evans has done a fantastic job there.

A good time to hit the ground running for Appleton… vital some new faces start the game as they have no history of the woes thus far..

Stevenage score a chunk of their goals via set pieces. Hopefully Appleton is focusing on improving our defending (and attacking) for these.
We are one of four teams in LG1 not to score from a set piece so far.

Appleton has so much to do going forward.

Appleton has so much to do going forward. I don't think we need to come up with any surprise 'training game' set piece routines. I think we just need someone who can ping a ball into dangerous areas (high or low crosses) and pick out our players. I agree we might not have many who are powerful in the air. Then again, how many did Inniss score? We have Leaburn and Tedic who should have strength in the air. Not all crosses need to be in the air though. CBT loves a 'chip cross' but I've prefer him to look at more cutbacks / low crosses when we have May in the box.

To be fair to him though as I’m losing interest in Charlton I couldn’t tell you how many games he has played for us.

He should be but he's not played loads yet. Still looks a bit off the pace but I thought he looked promising in the cup game he played. As for set pieces. For some reason we seem to have been told to hit all corners to the back post, which hasn't worked out at all as they often just went long for whoever was taking them.

x.com/CAFCofficial/status/1701587393919537189?s=20Hopefully we will get more. Great effort from our fans considering the start we have had! Results wise anyway. I feel like we've played some good football. Edit: Actually, the wording seems to suugest we have our full allocation. Probably restricted to what can be offered to away fans due to stadium stand size.

Just don’t tell us that the lads have worked hard this week in training and there’s a good mood in the camp. That never ends well.
