I think Jason will be in the chair for 2 or 3 weeks while a permanent replacement is sought.
He is a respected figure at the club and I’m sure will enjoy the support of the senior players in the squad. I hope and expect he will draw on the likes of Dobbo, May and Hector when setting up for Fleetwood this week.
It seemed to me from what I saw on Saturday that DH had lost a chunk of the dressing room and one of Jason’s first tasks will be to get everyone back on board.
What do we think will be the plan for Saturday? Clean sheet and a point would be a decent start!

Develop the young players properly, not throw them straight in at the deep end.
These are the players under 21 we are currently putting in the first team:
Nathan Asiimwe 18
Karoy Anderson 18
Daniel Kanu 18
Deji Elewere (19, turns 20 in a couple of weeks)

Jason Pearce is well known and respected by all the players, the youngsters especially.
He is a leader and importantly he is a tough fucker that won't stand for any nonsense.
I can see him doing well, steadying the ship and of course the new manager bounce will be in his favour!

We can expect Pearce to start with that 2nd half side - perhaps Leaburn returns? Really hope Pearce makes the right decisions re GK and centreback pairing, then sticks with that. |

I think that JP will pull everyone together, at least for the moment, so is a sound temporary appointment. At least he will realise that letting the ball bounce is the route to disaster, being caught once or twice in his later career.

He's a youth coach at Tottenham I think? He might have been more tempted right at the start of the window to be allowed to help build the squad. When he came in and inherited Phil Parkinson's team, after the first 4 games it was a disaster. We'd have gone down had we not already had enough points, and that was actually the worst Charlton Athletic I have ever watched. Yes, the worst ever.

I can’t believe Grown men are crying about CP being offered an interim role. He has been head of coaching at Tottenham and done nothing of note as a manager since one promotion with us.
