salarysport.com/football/league-one/charlton-athletic/Not sure how true this is and appreciate it needs updating but if that’s the case then it’s a shambles. 1) How is our 2nd most highest paid player always injured and had a record of it before we gave him that deal? 2) 4 out of our top 10 earners are not even starting and most of us want rid Judging by Charlie’s appearance on Netflix if he saw this he’d say this is a f**ked up business. We really need to manage this a lot better and buy some players who are actually worth paying for. It’s ridiculous this club has been budget managing but can’t seem to get the right players in to sort it out.

I'm curious to know the source of this information. One number struck me was Terry Taylor being on £660 a week... why move from Burton to London to be on such a low wage rate....

Á lot of players listed on there who are no longer with us. I can't see that being accurate to be honest.

Websites like sport salary simply steal (copy and paste) the data from capology.com who are the folk who actually research/invent it. The versions on sport salary and other rip-off sites are generally quite out of date compared to the latest capology one. Whilst you can see PL and Champs data for free on capology, you need a subscription to view L1 clubs. This costs £1500 a year so sod that. All you can see without a sub is this (no individual figures): www.capology.com/club/charlton/salaries/This in descending order, so they have Hector as our highest paid currently, then Fraser, then Payne third above Aneke. Totally weekly salary of around £60k is about half the FFP cap and even includes under-20 players. However the squad list even on Capology is incomplete/out of date. Doesn't include Taylor, Edun (£8,269pw at Blackburn), etc. [FWIW the Championship pages list Cosgrove as £10,762 and Ladapo £7,308pw.] NB the disclaimer at the top of the page states "All salary figures are estimates as actual salaries may vary. Unverified players are calculated using algorithms, or sourced from reporting that has not been confirmed yet. Coverage may be limited or incomplete." So basically they make it all up. Well worth £1500 a year!

Interesting background ....'Salary' I guess assumes full remuneration bonuses and loyalty payments etc.
Clearly Payne , Kirk and Mc Grandles as well as Chucks are eating into a big part of a FPP based budget and both clearly need to be moved on and also will be tough to move on with those numbers!
