Why not??? Got an attacking left back that Kirk supposedly thrives off, Blackett Taylor is right footed so all this putting him on the left wing is nonsense, stick him on the right where he belongs. May needs to play in a two up front. It just makes sense.

No idea to be honest
I’ve seen posts saying it’s a minor foot injury (how long that is remains to be seen) and another post or two claiming it to be two months

If we play those two in the middle any side that plays with three in the centre of midfield will overrun us and dominate the play.

Very few sides play with just two central midfielders these days. The 4-3-3 doubles as 4-5-1 when out of possession but 4-4-2 is too rigid.

Firstly Kirk is total pony, don't even want to see him on the bench. There are lots of variations of 3-5-2, 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. Or 4-3-2-1 or diamond.

Do your full backs or wingers both venture forwards or just the one on the side you are attacking? Do both strikers push up or one drop deep?

I'd pick our best XI and choose best line up to suit rather than years of square pegs in round holes.

Not Kirk.....Also I'd like to see CBT on the Right to get in crosses early on his natural foot .

44 2 takes pessure off the full backs but outnumbers The centre mids and can overload them with teams playing 53 2 or 433

I still say 4-4-2 can work if you’ve got legs in midfield. Plus I think it’ll suit our squad a bit better. Maybe Campbell instead of Kirk.
