Yep this guy can play, very pleased with this news Just watched him play for 45 minutes - different class from whoever played alongside Dobson and Fraser last season. Fantastic news that he's signed a long term deal.

First of many hopefully. There’s a few prospects who need extended deals.

Got some real prospects coming through, hope they are strong enough if not mustn't be rushed.

I expect he will be used sparingly this season when we are up to our full strength, but a great prospect and bags of energy and attitude.

It's a good time to offer him a new deal - with him just breaking into the first team squad. I would imagine that Campbell's Agent would be looking for a much getter wage deal for a player that has been in the first team squad for half a season already.
The gamble (which I'm optimistic has been minimised with Anderson) is that to secure a long term deal you offer them wages, based on their potential, and they fail to live up to it. The reverse of that, of course, is that you don't tie them up for long enough and they leave for much less than they are, actually, worth. - either on a free or with just a year left on their contract.
I think this is one of the most important, and most difficult, tasks that football clubs need to get right. This applies, both, to academy players and new signings. I have a feeling that Andy Scott is going to deliver for us, in this role. Whereas the father and son Sandgaard tools, absolutely, did not!
