This is slightly worrying.
Could be 3/4 already.

We look exposed with balls over the top and out wide (WBs caught forward).
Ness getting out muscled far too easily for their second. I agree with those saying we need another CB tbh.
Camara is off the pace at the moment. CBT is still frustrating going forwards. Still think we need to improve our attacking options.
Edit: I’d say we are a top 10 team at the moment. Still need 4-5 additions to get into top 6 or higher.

Looks like a premier league team against a league 1 team at the moment.

Ness has looked poor through pre season so far i out it down to having young players around him .. but he having a shocker today
Mind saying that I don’t think a slip up today would do us any harm .. expectation since Millwall has been ridiculous think it will do the team no harm going into next week

Frazer and Camara need to get back more when we have the ball in defence. They are so far forward. Hopefully just fitness and not a sign of things to come.

Aberdeen are a quality team. We have to remember that. However, it’s clear we have plenty of work to do.

That was training ground level easy. Hector nowhere in the middle. CBT marking himself or taking a selfie.

For the 3rd the Midfield didn’t know what to do and the ball was passed behind Taylor again for them to score.

Aberdeen are a quality team. We have to remember that. However, it’s clear we have plenty of work to do. Interesting fact: Aberdeen has a comparable annual turnover and operating loss to Charlton.

Boys v Men!
Makes you laugh at those who have previously said that the Scottish teams would struggle in League 2.

A timely reality check. Better now than during the season. Or, are we playing as well as you would expect a L1 team to play against a Scottish Prem team? Either way the defence is being torn a new one! This game is now all about individual performances for me. A chance for DH to assess the positions in need of improvement.

The defence is quite a concern tbh a better side in league one will put a few past us. Jones is 4-5 yards off the pace. Hector 2-3. Ness needs to learn not to make so many runs forward. What surprises me is how far advanced Camara usually is. 352 can work with advanced wingbacks if you have two holding mids. We don’t see to play this. Allowing your wingbacks to be so attacking is also risky at any level. If you look at Liverpools stats, they let in tonnes of goals on the counter as they allow their WBs to be so far forward and can get caught out. I don’t think our defence is good enough for attacking wingbacks. I still think we’re very much like last season with round pegs for square holes. Bit JJ esque. Do we really suite 352?

Oh dear! Absolutely mullered defensively! Hector having a mare, far too casual!
Look ok going forward, but it's like playing with 10 men playing Kirk. Edun needs to get up to speed pronto, everything coming down their right side with CBT exposing Ness terribly.
I said a couple of weeks ago that the defense was still a major worry and this first half has certainly proved that!

You cannot play 352 without proper wing backs and a proper centre forward to help May. Still alot to do in the transfer market for both in and outs. Don't know how much Charlie and co have in the budget but I'd up the offer for Nombe, get rid of DJ, Kirk and bring in two more wing backs and another CB. Ness is a week link and needs to be used only sporadically.

Every chance and goal has come down our left. CBT for all his attacking threat is leaving Ness ridiculously exposed. He is not and never will be a wing back. If Holden wants to go with 3 centre backs then there is no room for CBT. The sooner Edun gets up to speed the better.

Supirsed how good Aberdeen are. Quality team They've not had to have been especially good at all.
We have some obvious weaknesses that all teams will try to exploit. You don't need decent scouts to see how vulnerable we are in that fullback position.
Exploit the weak links, create chances, and a clinical team will finish enough of them.
In short, I think this is Charlton being poor rather than Aberdeen being especially good. Think a decent L1 side would have done exactly the same. A poorer L1 side would've just failed to convert as many.

What did I say during the week? We lack a leader at the back, a physical presence who can walk into the club look around at our defenders and say 'Only one of you can play next to me, who's it going to be'?
We have numbers back there but not enough quality. CBT and Kirk need to be shipped out. Neither are good enough.
