Good first half. Camara impressive.
Kirk, McGrandles and Fraser doing well and Jones has had a good first 45.
No real weaknesses on display.
Very encouraging.

Charlton making it easy with nice precise passing.
Camera and Jones the star man of the first half. Kanu looking a bit lost in the friendlies so far.

First 15/18 mins Wealdstone looked really good and should have taken the lead good play from Clayden who been outstanding for them on the left wing / back , but Campbell header over when free . Then we clicked into gear with three excellent goals .. with Camara really controlling the game , with Fraser and Kirk also linking up well . Jones looks a good player as well . Special mention for McGrandles playing the Dobson role very well . Again only disappointment is Kanu trying his hardest but it’s just not happening , Egbo struggled down the left today . Its DJ on the left isn’t it? |

Entertaining first half, I know it’s only Wealdstone but we have played some decent football going forward Camara and Fraser excellant I dont think Kirk, has been bad either.. Yep he has…. but I am not sure he fits into the 3-5-2 |

After his first goal Jones lifted his shirt up to wipe his face and that looked like has spend too much time in the pub lately. Or did I see that wrong, i.e. that he looks far from being fit? Think he has looked excellant for a first outing That wasn't really my point, if you go to minute 19:00 (match time) that looked to me like he can lose a few kilograms. Or he is extremely muscled. My only worry is that players who arrive overweight more often than not develop injuries.  |

A certain Mr Kermorgant, pre season carried extra timber, but was quickly shed. Hopefully Jones will be the same. Looks an upgrade on Lavelle though. |

Apparently the Charlton TV isn’t working so they put it on YouTube. That makes me wonder if the new owners will continue to fund it as it currently is. I was told that it was an expensive which doesn’t surprise me as the production is very professional. Mine is working. |

On to Millwall, we'll probably see a first eleven shaping up on Tuesday, not too difficult to pick at the moment for Dean Holden I would imagine.

Watched the game on Youtube.
First thoughts are Camara is a massive upgrade in midfield. Defence looks solid enough, but the long ball over the top is something the team needs to deal better with.
I don't think Egbo or DJ are the answer at wingback, if Dean is going to persist with this 3-5-2 formation. A position where the club needs to improve urgently, along with another striker.

A comfortable win. Wealdstone provided good opposition but were less of a threat in the second half.
Lovely goal from Anderson. Henry didn’t last long. Not sure about Thomas. Istead made one good save but had little else to do. CBT?
On balance, with the addition of some new blood there’s the makings of a strong team but as always there’s still work to be done as one would expect at this stage of pre-season.
Reasons to be confident though.

Very, very hard to judge academy players in pre season friendlies. By October / November there are often injuries so they have to step up and grab their chances. Easy for fans to criticise them but it's a big step up. All in favour of giving them a chance but also want to see quality EPL loans signed to we can climb the table. |

Agree with all the above, but felt we gave the ball away from midfield too often in the early part of the second half and a league side would have punished us. Still early days, might be a bit picky.
