Heads gone. He's a danger to himself aswell as others. As much as it is sad to see, not sure he yet knows what a danger he is to himself we have all known people like that. Hoping that one day, when he is rock bottom, he can realise and come back up a better person. Don't like to see people head down that far.

Absulute wrong un. He didn't like playing football, but seems OK with punching old women.

I’m so glad we didn’t splash over a million pounds on this chap. I do have compassion for people with mental health issues, which is what it looks like he has, but I can't help wonder why he had no one around him to help him when he was playing and earning a small fortune.
By the time he’s finished he could be broke and may never be able get his life back on track. What he did was unacceptable but I fear it is just another symptom of a young man that was not given the help he needed when he needed it.
No doubt his Agent and Peterborough, who benefitted when he was flying, are nowhere to be seen.

Has he checked into a mental health ward in the hope it will be forgotten by next week.

Not aware much about him but he may have mental health issues which has to be brought under control.
Would not wish to make a judgement call on the case but do not like the action he took whatever the provocation.

Former Peterborough United footballer Marcus Maddison has been jailed for 20 months after an attack on a 60-year-old woman described by a Recorder as “horrific.”
Maddison’s victim told the court that as a result of his punch, she was left with a broken jaw in multiple places, she can’t eat on the left side of her mouth, she has problems with her teeth and gums bleeding and that she can no longer smell properly.

Another Steve Gallen signing 🙄 It's easy looking at a signing retrospectively, at the time we had been chasing him for a while and he looked a good signing. His issues surfaced later, no fault of Gallen.

Another Steve Gallen signing 🙄 To be fair to Gallen and Bowyer Maddison was still thought of as 'hot property' when he signed for us. I think he went off the rails after that - or, at least, it became apparent that he had after we signed him.

My recollection is that the problem when Maddison signed was that it wasn’t at all clear where he was going to play or how he’d fit within the playing style and game plan. That surely was down to Gallen and Bowyer and it wasn’t untypical. The result, of course, was that he was thrown in (or on) and expected to produce moments of individual brilliance, probably without much by way of instruction beyond “get stuck in and don’t forget to track back”. It’s not surprising he failed.

I think he failed because he'd rather kick a vulnerable 60 year old woman than a football. Should this have been detected before he was signed?
