Time to come to a mutual agreement with him I think, the guy is broken physically, calf, groin and ankle injuries all on top of the other issues he has which were documented on here last season. I get he has a contract that has to be honoured but there comes a time when even he has to ask himself 'I'm I taking the piss by not calling it a day'.

Early retirement with an insurance payout will have to go through all the medical hoops. This might save CAFC a few quid if valid but we all know the bigger picture: The signing (amongst others) was an expensive mistake. The new SMT have to focus on the current squad plus six new signings by 1st September - Aneke isn't going to feature in those discussions, is he?

I begin to worry about Miles' susceptibility to injuries. A combination of his youth and his height makes him vulnerable, too vulnerable for someone who is expected to lead the line and be our main goal scorer.

So he can’t even get through the close-season without injuring himself! I think it would be in everybody’s best interests if he hung up his boots.

I thought Deji, looked confident and assured today. The loan to Bromley must have helped. Very hard to judge anything really in these games.. Goalkeepers really didn't have a save to make.. Very noticeable that Isted is very vocal, and likes to dish the ball out quickly... Just a womans view, so please guys tell me what you thought...

Leaburn is starting to be injury prone 🙁 I'm probably in the minority here but I don't think he's as good as what a lot of people think he is. Put it this way if we can sell him for £5m and bring in two strikers for that who are proven goalscorers like Collins and Nombe I would snap your hand off.

I was just about to say,and was worried about back lash, as I also feel Miles has been over hyped. I have seen, people like Paul Walsh and even Karlan Grant, and I don't think he is a patch on either of those two at the same age..

Did Chucks pull his calf muscle putting his suncream on .Jesus the man is made of glass perhaps he's not drink enough water to help his muscles. Think it's about time we got rid and used his wages on better fit players.

He’s a fan favourite and therefore we can all plead guilty for of potentially looking at his performances through rose coloured spectacles! I’m a tad concerned about his injury issues and he has to develop his game considerably to be a potential tier 2 let alone tier 1 striker. However he does appear to have many admirers within the game so let’s see how things develop.

I seriously hope the new owners are going to invest in 3 strikers as we are down to Kanu. If they don’t I don’t fancy our chances. Meanwhile Sandgaard has to get a cheapo striker in.

We have no other strikers ML had been fast tracked due to necessity,he's developing nicely, but can't be expected to be the main man yet. This issue needs addressing sharpish. Could Llyod Jones get in Sam Smith's ear? May becomes a possible target again?

Should Leaburn progress over the next six months at the same rate as he did last season then £5M would be a bargain. If he can push on to Championship level then double that! The point is that SE7 Partners need to bring in quality throughout the front six (and another full back / wing back). And the wages / fees for that needs to be independent of the timing / amount for any potential Leaburn sale in 2024. Think it might take ten games before we have a real handle on where we are in terms of the competition. And by that time the window will obviously be closed, but we should be in a far better place than September 2022.

We could have got Dion Charles for the same money

Totally agree, I watched Miles live at the Port Vale game and as much as he shows promise he is still developing as a footballer and no way should he be considered our main striker because if so we are not going to challenge for promotion, would be great to get Ladapo in if at all possible

This reminds me a bit of the mystery calf injury that Ronnie Schwartz had when the club was asked why he wasn’t playing…..😳….. We never saw him again after that and straight away he was playing for another club and the mystery calf injury had gone away just like magic😁 Not saying Aneke is moving to another club but picking up a new injury is very strange to me🤔🤔
