Divided Fanbase?

I keep reading this.

What does it mean exactly and what is the cause?

There are quite a few Charlton fans who don't like me and the feeling is mutual and then some, but that's not what divides a fanbase, that is on a personal basis so what does a divided fanbase actually mean?

I see Dodger has had another rant this morning. I have asked to speak to him because some of the stuff he has blasted out is factually incorrect. I have told him he is more than welcome to call me and I will tell him straight that not once has anyone on here including myself said a bad word against him. I'm not like the cowards elsewhere, if I have something to say I'll say it to people's faces not behind a keyboard.

I get his gripe with CAST/CL (same thing really) but don't get why he's having a pop at this place of myself just because I am providing updates. He's totally wrong about the paperwork and that one's is going to crash down all around those who have taken what PS has said far too literally but I'm not here for any 'I was right and you were wrong bullshit' and I'm certainly not sharing things to be liked, I really couldn't care less who likes me outside of my family and close friends to be honest with you and as for kissing people's arses at the races, is that what two people having a pint and a chat about horses, football and Charlton is now then? Kising arse? Fuck the being social bollocks then if it is!

All this because the incoming owners haven't bought the land. People think because they are wealthy buying The Valley and SL should have been part of the deal and the fact that they haven't means that they are not here for the right reasons.

I called Sandgaard out long before Dodger did if the truth be known and if and when I get the same feeling about the new investors I shall come out and say so. I'm consistent if nothing else, but until such a time I am happy with what I have been told so far and even more happier to share it.

Like I say nothing against Wayne, I have never met the guy and as for his passion he is a man after my own heart but I will stand up and defend myself if something gets said that just isn't true.

As for the haters elsewhere, all banned from here and who haven't got a pair of bollocks between them, well they're just always going to hate but it really is wasted energ allowing somebody to live in their heads rent free.

I agree, Dodger is a massive Charlton fan with a big heart and I think protective mode has just kicked in with him which I fully understand. That said there is no need for the personals though. We have enough of those from Dickplumb and his right hand man, and anti-semitist Lardiman.

I understand dodgers frustration but I think he is kind of causing this divided fanbase,
He is a huge charlton fan but he don’t like it that other people are getting strong information about what’s happening at charlton.
I mean Reams is getting concrete information before our inside news reporter and I wonder why.
Rich Cawley has done it many times by leaking information on his twitter when he shouldn’t have.

I am happy to just sit back and wait for this takeover to happen because I firmly believe it will happen during the summer window and with enough time to get players in.

I think the ‘divide’ is more on social media/forums than the actual fan base imo.

The few who interact online on Charlton forums etc are just that, the few. The majority of fans will not know anything about this ‘divide’.

It’s not really an issue imo. Once the takeover is complete, everyone will be looking at signings. I’m sure there will be critics. We know of a very loud one elsewhere who worships dodger and loves to be the first to say things aren’t right.

I’m feeling quite positive about our future right now. As with Dodger, it’s just a gut feeling though. We shall see…

Charlton Athletic fans seem to talk more about the ownership than what's happening on the pitch. This has been happening for a long time.

Never met Dodger but I've always liked his passion for the club, and he seems like a straight up sort of man. Hopefully he is wrong in this instance though.

Absolutely ! I have never walked down Floyd rd and felt “divided “ , It’s only social media that’s stirred this shite up and it’s best ignored IMHO 👍🏻

Everyone likes me because I'm so awesome and fantastic.
It can be a burden and sometimes i wish i wasn't so marvelous and a couple of people tried hardn to dislike me.
