Midfielders: Peter Garland, Danny Green, Ricky Holmes, Dale Stephens, Scott Wagstaff
Forwards: Paul Hayes, Danny Haynes, Garry Nelson
Manager: Keith Peacock
Non-playing but joining pre-match: Alex Dyer, Paul Mortimer, Simon Webster, Eddie Youds
Shame that there is no Brownie, Robbo, Kinsella, Mendonca, the list goes on.
I know many might not have been available but it's sad to think that the current detachment with all things Charlton may have stretched as far as some big names that ARE legends and will always hold a special place in the club's history.

To me,the most glaring absentee either pre match or on the pitch is the man of the moment in that special match, Colin Walsh.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Did anyone else posting on here go?. Attendance: 1,067 The reason, I asked the question. Was to find out if anyone else had thought enjoyable. Huge credit to Peter Garland, he's huge, but enjoyed his passing and commitment. Well done.👏👏 Also people like Gary Nelson, at their ages prepared to play.. I normally find these sort of games boring, but this was good and entertaining. Also I am pleased to say, for every Alex Gilbey there is a Scott Wagstaff!. People who clearly love the club and who are much more humble. Well done Scott, Danny Green, Ricky Holmes and all who took part. |

I went. These games can sometimes be a bit slow but this was the opposite! A great 90 minutes, both sides enjoying the occasion. And some great goals, with some great moves! Had a lovely chat with Sasa - and nice to see the players interaction with the fans. A Dad was shaking Sasa's hands and presented his adorable young Daughter (about 6) to Sasa saying that he had told her all about his save at Wembley and had made her watch the video! Sasa was so sweet to her and Dad got a wonderful photo. Best 2 hours at the Valley for ages! And Dean getting a great goal too!
