Classless fans , hope they get thumped in the final Commiseration’s Sunderland I don’t really know of any Luton fans other than Nick Owen and Eric Morcambe, but you have to admit it’s been a roller coaster ride for them and the club. All the way to the top of the pyramid with their controversial plastic pitch, a successful Wembley final and then down to none league because of poor governance of the club ( not the fans fault and something we know a little about ) and now on the brink a return to the top. Not sure my old heart could take that lot.

Have to say that they play a heavy metal brand of football … big strong all action high press with huge physicality.
Our new SMT will have to work very hard to get CAFC back into tier 2 and create an all action brand where 100% commitment is key!

It Will be a shame if they go up and end up spending 10 million on Kenilworth Road.
Kenilworth Road is the last of the post war 5h!t hole grounds a d should be preservered.

I think Luton will beat either Boro or Coventry in the final. They’ve been very consistent all season and deserve to go up. Sunderland just didn’t have the resilience needed to win last night although they have done well to make the playoffs.

(Milton Keynes had previously tried to tempt Charlton there.)

Nathan Jones on sky sports news recently mentioned how he likes to "build" and clearly did over two spells at Luton.Their success isn't down to one man obviously, but it looks from the outset to be a well run club with a unified vision.Rob Edwards came into the job and has slotted in perfectly carrying on the good work done previously.

Well we now know it’s a Luton v Coventry play off. And ware as I have no interest in either club I recognise that both clubs have been through the doldrums and fought a long hard battle to get back to this position. I think Charlton should take heart from that as we hopefully start our own journey back.

The Coventry v Luton championship playoff final should be renamed the "PREMIERSHIP WHIPPING BOYS PLAYOFF FINAL" Don't think either team will be pulling up any trees next season. So my advice to either set of supporters is to go to as many away games as you can next season coz it'll be a long time before that happens again.

Of all the many teams that have suffered since 1992, the two teams that it's hard to have sympathy for its Luton and Coventry. Both saw £££s when the Premier league was formed, but neither had the foresight to understand they wouldn't be the main attraction and bigger teams were waiting in division Two. Karma bit them both on the backside when rhe Premier league celebrated its silver anniversary when Luton were non league and Coventry were homeless, playing in Northampton and mid table in division 3.

In what way? The moral of the story is 'Be careful what you wish for.' Not sure why we would need to have sympathy for both teams, nor look back at what they done 20 + years ago? Fast forward to today and they are both on the verge of the promise land after 2 successful and consistent Championship campaigns. Both play attractive, forward thinking football. Both have excelled at recruitment, boosting talent which will have sore in value since they have arrived. Gustavo Hamer and O'hare to name a few.. Luton are also one of the best run clubs in the entirety of the EFL. Both clubs should be the envy of many EFL fans. Dont stay stay stuck in the past smudger! From league two in 2018 to a Championship play-off final in 2023 is a surreal achievement and not sure why it's being smeared due to irrelevant decisions both clubs made in the 90s It will be a tight game today I reckon, looking at past matches between the two. 1-1 I think, with Luton winning in ET. Whoever wins, it will be a great sight to see them in the Prem! Time to let go off your quarrel Smudger and enjoy! UP THE EFL!

Did they vote in favour of it or were they just one of the clubs that voted? All the clubs in 1991 voted for it. The initial plan was a 18 team premiership. Where teams such as Wimbledon, Luton and Coventry thought they fitted into this grand plan was never fully explained.

In possible attacking additions, Rob Edwards’ side are among the Championship sides to have been linked with a move for Charlton Athletic forward Miles Leaburn. The 19-year-old has scored 11 times in 33 games in his breakout season with the Addicks but Dean Holden has said he is not for sale this summer.

Always interesting to see how promoted sides go about it,Go for it try and secure a seat at the top table,or cut your cloth accordingly and hope for the best. So much been said about condition of Kenilworth Road,Yes I'm sure people will find it a throwback, will be an interesting contrast to multi purpose super arenas.

I believe that there are a number of issues with it that mean it is not allowed to host Premier League games as it is. They have a very tight deadline to get it ready for next season - even if the league let them play all their games away for a few weeks into the season - that might leave them routed to the bottom by the time they get to play a home game.
