I’m sure that Holden will get him focussed

Some of the comments on another form about him are pathetic to be honest. Cannot believe grown men behave like that as if the world owes them something. Bonne is a better striker than any of the armchair fans will ever be. OK his comments when he left us last time may have been inciting but looking back he was taking a swipe at the people who made his life a misery. I would have done the same.
Ignore the morons Macauley, they just need something to moan about.

He is different to what we have, and I hope he'll do well. He has Championship experience now, so could be decent at this level.

I’m not unhappy at this signing, with Skintgaard still stinking the place out we aren’t going to be shopping at Harrods or even Asda anytime soon. I think Bonne did quite well in the Championship season for a guy who stepped up from the National League, admittedly that was a while back but he has a point to prove and I wouldn’t mind him proving it with us. It’s not like he downed tools in the Championship like some. I think he’s better than what we have (not that that is too difficult) with the very obvious exception of Miles Leaburn. I think Bonne could be useful at this level and I wish him good luck. I wish us good luck! 🤞

Happy with this. Think he’s a good fit for CAFC and will work hard and score a few. Definitely an upgrade on what we’ve got.

Sounds like he is the new scapegoat. More Vitriol being aimed at him then the owner. We have some real idiots in our fanbase. Yes he has bundles to prove but he is not the problem. I suggest Bonne scores loads of goals and the whole twitter rubbish will be soon forgotten.

I think he's good enough to get a few goals, but not good enough to fundamentally turn our form around. If that makes sense.

Both Bonne & Kane are a cut above what I was expecting. Bonne as a permanent until season’s end shows we have little to lose if he doesn’t cut it; if he does then I’m sure he has an agreement in place for a better long term deal.
Does this mean Stockley is on his way or is Bonne a true addition?
When will Egbo be fit? I thought he looked good earlier on the season.

This has to be in addition to any Stockley loan (if it happens). We can't let Stockley go and then not replace him. Bonne is the 'replacement' for Washington surely. I think Egbo is still a few months away. So I'd say we're still looking at Edun from Blackburn (I hope as he looks good). Otherwise we are still barebones in full back positions. Agree Egbo looked promising. We looked much better with him and Sess available together.

I would think Leaburn may have replaced Washington not Bonne.

Has it all to prove but I wish him all the very best. Four months ago we were stuck with Stockley leading the line in a 4-3-3 which just wasn't working. If we had known how Leaburn would develop and that we would sign Bonne on a short term deal then many would have been happy with that. Things change in football rapidly. And we appear to have improved up front, at full back and also in goal of late. Add a talented midfielder and who knows where we might be in February!

We still need another striker to compete with the big boys as Bonne good to see him back Stockley not at his best Aneke. Injured and injury prone Leaburn. Still learning not complete package. Kanu not complete package send out on loan lower league to get experience.

Bonne on early showing is a much better player than the one who left us.

I was not impressed with this signing but was impressed by his cameo today, hoping he will change my view in him and he certainly started well today so good luck to him

One of the worst "strikers" I've seen in a Charlton shirt the first time around - and still is.
Hard to think we could sign somebody worse than Stockley - only at Charlton

Santos is the best CB in league one, not sure it suited us playing Bonne against him, surely Leaburn should have started. I doubt Santos has had an easier game than he had today. Bonne should be a impact sub member of this squad

He cost nothing and I think that was about the right price.
He might score a few goals before May but if we are serious about being promoted next season we need better players than Macauley Bonne.

Kyrell Lisbie son of Kevin helped himself to his first goals in Welling fc colours with a hat-trick last night.
Maybe we should have bought this guy in instead of Bonne.

Bonne was dogshit when we pulled QPR’s pants down and sold him - he’s still dogshit and I’d rather of gone for a promising youngster if given the choice 👍🏻

He'd just take the ball from the defenders and run the length of the pitch and score on his own. Bonne is 💩 and couldn't hit the net from a yard out hence why no one passes him the ball
