The problem with CAST is that they have the sting of a butterfly. A Supporters Trust who do their job properly should ask the difficult questions and don’t allow yourself to be always fobbed off. Sandgaard will give us the usual B/S and CAST will believe it. Spot on. They look what they are....powder puff. It's a tick box exercise with them. They ask a question and any old answer will do. They never challenge and disect the shite they are told. So gullable.

The new owner doesn’t have to spend a huge amount, but replacing the current recruitment team is a must if we are going to progress. Until the point where a club is self-sustainable, "not spending a huge amount" remains wishful thinking if an owner has to pony up 5-10 million each year just to keep the club afloat. And that is before player acquisitions. Owners see that as 'spending', fans see that as something that comes with the territory. I'm still convinced that the bubble will eventually burst, as there are more clubs needing a good owner willing to spend that cash than there are good owners available. My point being, no matter who the new owner is, he/she/them will have to spend a significant amount of money. This £5-10M appeared to be a reasonable price back in 2014 to pay to acquire a chance to enter the Championship Casino in pursuit of promotion to the Premier League. But the price raised to £13M in 2014/15 plus transfers and several clubs burnt £100M over four seasons - not all were successful. Where does does that leave us today? Some 30 clubs enjoy Premier league media revenue of £100M+ or parachute monies to assist promotion. The rest of the Championship either aim to breakeven or lose a fortune trying to compete for a place in the top six with media revenue a fraction of the parachute monies. And League One is nowhere!

A Supporters Trust is only as good as the supporters leading it - and the leadership of CAST has been for the large part arrogant, self-serving and plain dumb. I don't know if it is still the case but at one point half of its grandly titled 'board' weren't even regular match-goers: one of them lived in Glasgow and another in the Czech Republic, I think? Then when they were criticised for their bald-headed middle-aged male lack of diversity, the bald-headed middle-aged male chairman thought the answer was to co-opt his daughter onto the board (and to be fair she probably had more about her than her dad did, although that wasn't difficult). When they threw their weight behind Everitt and CARD's stated aim of making the club "ungovernable" and endorsed disrupting matches by throwing stuff on the pitch and all the other puerile nonsense, they lost all credibility. But then they went to the other extreme and having told us anyone was better than Duchatalet, they felt they had to blow smoke up Sandgaard's arse. Both approaches were wrong and their abject failure to adopt a sensibly balanced position of being constructive but critical has rendered them utterly irrelevant.
The only thing I might disagree with Working Like Ants over is that perhaps they should stick to discussing the Bovril because their 'political' interventions have been utterly disastrous under both Duchatalet and Sandgaard.

IF TS isn't aware already this sums it up plain and simple. NO MORE waffle,PR exercises and blindly believing his "plan" is working. You tried,it hasn't worked and you clearly won't spend or appoint the expertise to fix it.
