Not Charlton related but just watched Cullen win Motm while Maatsen scored the winning goal.
For sure they have parachute monies but that game tonight vs Huddersfield is where we want to be. Fascinating!
Interesting that Kompany taken over and brought Cullen over from Anderlecht... and they've brought in a lot of young players.
"Hard work and good attitude" says Kompany, but where will they strengthen and are they destined to return to the EPL?

What a great spine of a team we had back in 2019 ….Phillips, Bielik, Cullen, Aribo & Taylor.

Interesting that the two teams had recruited a league one talent each (Twine & Rudoni).Of course it's only the first game, but I liked the look of what Burnley were doing.

Maatsen must have pushed on a bit. I know quite a few of our fans didn't really rate him.

And last night they win promotion with a record seven games left to play.
Cullen bigging up Kompany in the post match interviews but also stating he wasn't going to go public until they achieved something.
Lots of wittering about winning the title but surely the question is how did they achieve this in one season? Way ahead of schedule according to the owner btw.
And what's next for Burnley?
Fascinating to watch a club where everybody pulling together, even when some know success means that they'll fall by the wayside.

I had them as my pre-season favourite to win the Championship but don't think I put any money on it. Would have got decent odds too. I'll have to check if I did actually make any pre-season bets. I had Leicester to be relegated too about 2 games in but wanted to put in a triple bet and the sites wouldn't accept it. Just as well as I had Bournemouth and Forest to go down with them but it looks more likely to be Southampton and one of Forest, Everton and Leeds.
