Didn't see the match so not going to comment. But it's all about fitness and match minutes.Mistakes happen we move on and learn from them.At least it gave Garner an idea of who he needs to get rid of and who he needs to bring in.

As I haven't seen it said yet, let me be the first: GARNER OUT You were beaten on twitter tbh. Someone was saying this after the first match update on 7 minutes I think. So a widely-held view then.

Some of the reaction is ridiculous.
That said, I think everyone would agree that we still desperately need quality additions.
14 out, only 4 in as it stands.

Why is it embarrassing? It was a kick about, a training exercise, why do people have to go overboard, the fact they do is the only thing that is embarrassing to be honest.

Three things there that stood out for me. No end product up front emphasised by Davison allowing the ball to land on his head instead of him attacking it which was poor and Wollacott wrongly blaming Egbo for the back pass.

Personally thought it was a shit back pass and bounce was awkward, but still Keeper should have done better. I mean who backpasses from there?

Didn't watch the game but key points highlighted here: Garner's first game Build from here Kilmarnock 3 weeks ahead and playing a League Cup game next week Nothing about additions but wouldn't expect anything said after one friendly. Four weeks until kick off - let's see where we are at the end of July.

If only you could see how daft your posts are. Come back once the season starts and save yourself some misery. We've only been back in training for two weeks FFS!

Only saw the highlights, but we looked the better side. Now is the time to get goals like that out of our system. Yes, we need to sharpen upfront, and both of the chances that hit the woodwork should have been converted. I know Reams has a downer on Davison which seems harsh, but it is difficult to argue with him. We need another striker that can make a difference. Still very early days.

We're all entitled to do that. A new manager, hopefully pretty much a new team certainly a new style of play. Why shouldn't we be willing to give the new regime a chance?

Have to say Iβm liking the positive thinking Reams weβve seen lately. Yes not everything is hunky dory at the moment but itβs not all doom and gloom either. Some positives so far in the transfer window. A few more good/great signings and we could be onto something.

You changed your tune !!!!! We're all entitled to do that. A new manager, hopefully pretty much a new team certainly a new style of play. Why shouldn't we be willing to give the new regime a chance? We appear to be in a similar position to many of the last few seasons, in that we have retained around 15 players from last season as well as releasing a few. Then we have made a handful of acquisitions. The difference is that we have an owner who is yet to prove himself and a manager who has done OK at League 2 level. At this point in time we are a mid-table side in the making until something proves otherwise. Nothing so far points to any real improvement on last season and we have no recognised left=back as well as a lack of goal threat. The question is whether that will be addressed over the the coming weeks and months through player acquisition and decent coaching. And that's the fun of the journey ahead. At least nobody can accuse us of glory hunting! PS I made a statement a while back which Mundell challenged in that I asserted that we have released a large part of the wage bill who made little or no contribution last time. Well, Henderson, Watson, Arter and Soare barely featured under Jackson. While Leko and Gunter were selected by Jackson for around 25% of the games but were poor! On the other hand Pearce, Matthews, Purrington, Famewo, and Lee did feature a lot. Perhaps we should ask ourselves whether they were value for money or irreplaceable. Washington is a different case altogether as people expected him to stay - but there's always a few changes happening that are outside of normal expectations.
