Morgan recalled to the side today, and fair to say he’s getting muted reviews tonight for his performance. His pass completion rate today was less than 40%, which is dire for a player in that position.
What are people’s thoughts on keeping him next season ? I personally would (reluctantly) let him go in May.

Sadly I feel its time to move on. Perhaps its what he needs to perhaps find a level, where he can play each week. I dont think he is improving and offered very little today.

He's had more chances than a game of Monopoly. Time to move him on

Aside from when Jackson first took over with the associated change in formation / selection, our midfield and set pieces have been average most of the season. We need to do far better - let's see how Morgan and others perform in the final games.

Frustrating player, will hit a worldy of a pass one minute and switch off completely another. We need consistency in midfield.

I agree with you Ants but I think he has another year left so he won’t be paid off….he will probably try to be farmed out to a lower league club on loan for the season as per George Lapslie

We all have opinions about who should be retained - only a few weeks to go. Midfield for next season is key.

Early in the season I would follow Morgan from my seat in the AC stand.
His movement was poor and he never worked hard to make himself available to team mates or when we were out of possession.
Adding to that he unsuccessfully tried too many long hero passes which saw us lose retention of the ball far too cheaply.
When in charge of dead ball situations too many free kicks and corners lead to nothing.
He’s just not up to tier 3 standard and has not progressed under the coaching of Bows/Adkins/JJ and their staff.
Time to move him on!

Adkins tried Morgan in the No.10 position in the first six games, which didn’t work. Given that Albie doesn’t score any goals or provide a lot of assists, that leaves his passing …and with a below 40% completion rate we clearly have a problem with the player.

It's a shame but unfortunately he has not progressed and it´s time for his Charlton career to end.

Good to see Albie score a very good goal last night.
That was the finish of a technically accomplished footballer, albeit one who still lacks confidence and is in need of a lot of coaching.
Let’s hope this is a turning point for him, and he can really push on and add goals and assists to his game this season.

Ants I think we will have to continue to agree to disagree regarding Albie……….think we can all agree that preseason is not the real world……Leaburn pulling apart National league triallists and league two cannon fodder and scoring for fun…., Albie smashing the ball into the roof of the net……didn’t we hear all this b…….t same time last year from NA and TS that Albie was going to be our new goal scoring number 10 and Davison was going to be our all conquering centre forward……fast forward to Ipswich away this season coming when we play against a team full of promotion quality players and see where these players are then!…….both are league two quality at best IMO…….and if we don’t get any proven firepower to come in and score the goals plus that goals we are missing from Washington we are going to have another very mediocre season…….sorry to piss on everyone’s chips but it is what is IMO

The debate was had about the delta between League One and Two and outside of the top eight, probably not so much? What we can say is that we will all have the chance to discuss performances, results, and the SMT response before the window closes. At this stage it's very hard to judge how far we might move from last season's mid-table berth. Certainly the bookies have us there but let's see how things develop.

Gutted for the fella. Unfortunately he has no idea what he’s facing yet. My daughter was diagnosed ages 4, she’s now 7 and it’s a lot easier but it’s a full time job even if you’re in good nick.

Yeah I've been type 1 for 23 years and have 2 kids that have been diagnosed too, there is a big difference between getting it when you are young.

Feels like I have to take a bloody suitcase to the ground full of spares…… and that’s for just her! If you ever need a hypo treatment I’m in the west with a rucksack full of them!!! 😂

Gutted for him, but didn't Gary Mabbut and Asa Hartford play on with something like this. Probably my mind playing tricks on me. It will certainly take a lot of discipline to continue, I would have thought.

The England rugby player, Henry Slade, is also a sufferer. What a role model he is.

Been Type 1 for just over 2 and a half years now. As others have said, it’s a full time job effectively. But a lot easier to manage with the new technology. Not a fun condition to have though!

My 6 year old girl is type one she was diagnosed at 3 years old she has a pump and a dexcom which is game changer but it's a balancing act everyday especially when the pump doesn't do its job.

Pretty much same as yourself mate. Although she’s just turned 7 in our case. Does your daughter use an Omnipod? I’d like to know if any sports men or women wear them. Bit bulky!
