Despite the top 2-3 clubs robbing the rest of the league of their tv revenue, they've still managed to spend way more than they ever made. They will probably sell their stadium to the government and buy it back for nothing like Real Madrid did years ago..

The successive 'Presidents' that have been elected, at both clubs, have just kicked the ball down the road and borrowed more noney to keep the success on the pitch and the trophies coming in. Now, following Covid, the music has stopped and the League has enfored rules that it failed to before. The issue is that significant institutions are the ones that the clubs owe money to. The kind of institutions that can't be allowed to fail. It's all a mess, but one that I have no sympathy with.
