It’s non-commital on how much longer he is likely to be out for. Do we think he’s likely to be in contention for the next game or is it longer on the physio table?

Very bad news but at least we know now. Probably won't see him until April.

There has been a massive gap up front since Taylor walked out, it's a must to bring in an experienced striker.

He’s outside doing running, which is a big step in the right direction. He wasn’t able to do that, he wasn’t weight-bearing through that foot. I believe this week he is going to start running and changing direction, it will probably be another week of that and then hopefully we can start re-integrating him back into training.
“Those are tentative steps. He’s got to meet every marker along the way. We’re hoping we’ll at least have him back training with the group within the next couple of weeks. And obviously he’s missed a big chunk of football now.”

My best guess would be that he won't be starting for the first team much before the end of March. I'm just guessing, obviously, but it isn't likely to make much difference to our season. Although it looked like our season was over when we lost to Hartlepool, frankly.

Although it looked like our season was over when we lost to Hartlepool, frankly. That's the key for me here. We aren't playing for anything (aside from avoiding relegation, which we should be able to do even without Stockley) so there's no point rushing him back before he's ready.

Have I missed something - I thought Stockley had a hip injury but now it’s revealed he’s got two slipped discs putting pressure on nerves in his back. Whatever the case, he’s injured and we’ve missed him during his absence.
Good to see he’s back in training but speaking as someone whose better half has had a similar problem that has required two operations on her spine which haven’t been entirely successful I’m sceptical that he’ll be back in action in the near future. Obviously not knowing the full extent of his injury and maybe the treatment he’s having will have the desired effect, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he had an operation in the close season if that treatment isn’t a complete success. If so, he may miss the start of next season.
Hopefully the above is completely wide of the mark and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Suddenly makes me wonder if the ‘Finish my career at Charlton’ is something he expects to be sooner rather than later.
Only at Charlton!

Did us a good turn tonight did Jayden scoring two goals for Fleetwood in the dying minutes at Port Vale to earn a 2-2 draw.
Hindsight is a funny thing but I do wish he was still with us to be honest. He lost his way admittedly and went backwards quickly as a striker but he helped his old club out tonight which I am delighted about.
Still wish he was our player and not Fleetwood's though!

What a legend. Thanks Jayden! Top bloke
I don’t wish he was still with us though personally.
