Fair enough must have been somebody else, there are a few of you. By the way, I knew all along that con man Southall and ESI wouldn't even reach the summer. As for judging so quickly, well now you have your answer as to why. I was told a month ago this was going to happen. The only thing my informer got wrong was that it was meant to happen last week. Really don’t think this is something to gloat about mate. Charlton fans are NOT the issue here!

PragueAddick's 'Our day in Court' thread about trying to prevent West Ham moving to the Olympic Stadium is going to be pretty funny if we end up ground sharing there!!

I’m a tad confused. Does this mean that if he walks away, RD is still the owner? Or does this mean that ESI are the owners but with Southalls money rather than Tahoons? Thieving Bastard he is

Thieving Bastard he is I’ve no idea either Colchester , but my best guess is , no one will own us and RD will own the land , Stadium and training ground , and unless the takeover can be proved to be fraudulent, then we will be fucked.... Best case scenario is that RD owns us again lock stock , but I’m sure he don’t want that , rather just build on the land... it seems a bit of a mess... with one potential loser.... us...

That was my guess mate, I’m just so annoyed how the prick can just write a casual message on his Instagram and that’s that. Website is still down so not looking forward to the news in the morning. It is so confusing.

I'm not looking to pick an argument (just for a change) but it doesn't seem to me that reamsofverse is gloating. He sounds incredibly frustrated at not being able to say more on this matter in the past, and so not being taken seriously by some other members. Not everybody who claims to be ITK is just winding us up.

Again, he doesn’t own the football side.., he arguably has the same obligation to fund the club as Keith Harris or Kevin cash! If Duchatelet sold the footballing side for £1, and if he now steps away and allows the Club to fold because of that sale, a lot of people are going to wonder whether that was not his intent all along. If that happens, Roland's position might be legally watertight. But to me, and to many others I think, Duchatelet (not ESI) will be remembered as the owner who closed down Charlton Athletic.
If Roland has not brought this situation about by design, he is more likely to step in and prevent the immediate closure of the Club with some kind of emergency funding. Possibly because (as Mundell has said in the past) RD may believe it is morally the right thing to do. Only more time will reveal whether a sense of morality is his true motive. The idea that Duchâtelet may have created this situation deliberately is as ridiculous as the suggestion that any owner would be better than him. We are now in very deep shit precisely because that view was never remotely true. I’ve no idea what happens now. I do think there’s a chance that Duchâtelet might be motivated to be constructive, if only to prove he’s not the devil incarnate that you and others believe him to be. However, I doubt that will extend to being willing to take back ownership of the Football Club. Why would he want to spend yet more money only to be vilified, hounded and abused? Matt Southall or the receiver will need to find a buyer for the club. As we know, they don’t grow on trees. The problem is not that the club doesn’t own the Freehold. The problem is that the club almost certainly owes Duchâtelet a lot of money. His contribution to saving us might be a willingness to reschedule the repayments or even take a haircut. That wouldn’t be entirely altruistic. Realising the asset value would not be easy. Your anger should be directed at Matt Southall not Duchâtelet. If things are as they now seem (and it is an if) and if Southall turns out to be a chancer and a conman as alleged (and that’s also an if) then it will be Southall, not Duchâtelet, who has lied, who has acted in bad faith, who will have used the club for his own ends, and who will be directly responsible for a fate potentially far worse than anything that could have happened under Duchatelet. This is no less painful for the fact that it has seemed almost inevitable from the day Southall appeared as the man leading the takeover.

The original statement posted when they took over is on the website now. Wtf?? Bizarre. A departure from reality it would seem. Totally at odds with everything that has been apparently happening during the last hour or two. Is it a form of denial? A claim that the tweets posted on this thread add up to some kind of crazy hoax? Or maybe a piece of irony (possibly unintentional) from whoever is looking after the website at 11pm.

According to Southall not a penny was released for transfers. Judging by tonight's insta rants, the threat from his solicitors, Nimer seems to be the fraud rather than Southall.

STATEMENT
I want to let Charlton fans know and understand what is happening before rumours and speculation run completely out of control.
On Monday, Tahnoon Nimer sent an incredibly damaging letter on behalf of Panorama Magic General Contracting LLC to members of the club's Senior Management Team. In the letter, he made allegations about me and my conduct, which my lawyers immediately rebutted.
It has been brought to my attention that he has repeated and, indeed, expanded upon the malicious falsehoods made in the initial letter. As a consequence, I will now be meeting with my lawyers to discuss an action for defamation. However, my immediate priority is to protect the club and its staff from these damaging statements.
Also contained in that letter were claims he had appointed a Chief Executive Officer, an action that I am advised by the club's lawyers would be outside the parameters of Panorama's influence. Even more worryingly, the letter also threatened members of the senior management team with legal action if they did not comply with his demands. This is completely unacceptable and detrimental to the morale of such a loyal and dedicated staff and the smooth running of the football club.
One of the claims in the letter was that 'disadvantageous contracts' had been authorised by me. I can only conclude that the majority shareholder disagreed with my decision to give Lee Bowyer a new contract on the terms agreed as that is the only major contract signed in my time as Executive Chairman.
For the avoidance of doubt, both Jonathan Heller and I have passed the EFL’s Owners and Directors Test. However, the majority shareholder has yet to satisfy the EFL in respect of the source of his funds, despite numerous requests made by the EFL and a number of deadlines that have been ignored by him.
This failure obviously limited our ability to deal in the transfer window although I liaised closely with the EFL and made sure they were aware of every deal we were planning so that they could be sanctioned appropriately. I continue to be in close contact with the EFL who are also aware of the dispute between me and the majority shareholder.
It is a crucial time of the season and it would seem appropriate that all the stakeholders direct their efforts in support of the team and the club. Therefore, it is disappointing that the majority shareholder should act in such a manner and be attempting to purchase Dinamo Bucharest to the point where he posted a picture of himself in Romania during Saturday’s fixture.
The Board and the Senior Management Team are determined that Charlton Athletic be run in a sensible, responsible and sustainable manner but this is being made very difficult by the majority shareholder’s actions and his failure to provide either the necessary satisfaction to the EFL or the funds that he has consistently promised to invest. To date, not a single penny of the promised funds has been provided.
The Board will continue to make decisions in the best interests of club, its fans, its players and its staff with the full support of the dedicated and loyal senior management team
We look forward to a successful conclusion to the season.
- Matt Southall

Well at the moment its a case of Nimer saying Southall is dodgy, Southall is saying Nimer is a dodgy and lawyers from both sides are rubbing their hands together in anticipation of a huge pay day.
Why was Southall lapping it up on deadline day then banging on about super-duper deals??
Someone's lying.

Time for bed. I can’t work out what’s going on. If I had to guess, Roly will be back on the scene unless southall can convince somebody else to inv3st, either way we’ll be back in league 1 next season

This is no less painful for the fact that it has seemed almost inevitable from the day Southall appeared as the man leading the takeover. Hell will freeze over before I believe Duchatelet is blameless in this. Only two things will convince me to even consider that taking the land and killing the Club was not his ultimate intention all along; 1) If he steps back in now and funds the footballing side of things, keeping the Club operating until a real buyer can be found. 2) If, as a result of CAFC closing down, he loses millions (does not end up profiting from ownership of the land). To me, the only question is Has CAFC been brought to its knees by Duchatelet knowingly or unknowingly. In other words, has he murdered our Football Club, or was it manslaughter. What he does next will answer that question.
