I'd keep Naby as a back-up but I don't think he's good enough to start every week in a team challenging for the top half of the Championship. Great news about Dillon and Doughty too.

Would tend to agree.
Sarr has done very well recently; I didn't used to rate him at all, but as the song goes "...now he's alright..." Not good enough to be in a top 6 challenging team week-in, week-out though.
Would he be happy to be a squad back-up player?

After Forest I'm keeping an open mind. Still a third of the season to go so consistency is key to his worth next season.

I think Naby would be a lot more solid with a 'Bauer' type alongside him. Pearce has him looking over his shoulder to see if he is following upfield, and Lockyer is too short to stop crosses going to far post, which is a defenders nightmare.

You can look at this in two ways. More solid with Bauer or similar alongside, then all at sea without, then finding his own game. I relied on someone for years but now on my own I've had to make a fist of it, plenty of own goals too.

I do agree with Bowyer's comments about his ball playing though. He's more incisive with his passing than most centre backs we've had.

I'm quite happy with the Nabster. Adds to the entertainment. One minute he's Naby de Bruyne next minute a horrible sliced clearance, redeemed by a Phillips worldy. He's a one-off.

Physically and technically Sarr is good. He can slide rule a pass. What worries me is his decision making.

Sarr, Phillips and Doughty are all works in progress. If Lee wants them to sign better contracts they probably will but there are better players out there who could do the job - the whole of the Blackburn defence for a start.

Thought Sarr was one of our better players yesterday, dont know why Bowyer doesn't give him a go in CM think he could do a good job in there.

Was at Notts Forest and I thought he played a stirling game keeping them out, plus the cross for Lyle's goal (and of course the near own-goal), A very imposing player, a bit like the addicks great wall.
