Like several other academy players coming through these last five years, he looks Championship quality. The only way we will keep him is if we go up.

Seriously good display by Joe Aribo. He topped it off with a goal.

One of the best performances from a central midfielder i’ve seen for a long time. Absolutely superb today

He seems to be a very sensible young man, I suspect he will be signing a new contract soon.
Great performance today.

I’m pretty sure he will be offered a decent contract , even if it has a release clause . The owner won’t want to lose him for next to nothing in the summer
Hopefully Championship football might be a better chance of keeping hold of him , but I’m not optimistic to be honest , he and his agent will know his value .

Well we all know it is all about the money. Trust I didn't offend any of our snowflakes with that comment.

The boy is such a good dribbler, needs to work on his long passing a bit but a top, top talent. Hope he can hold onto him over summer.

Again he not ready just yet to move up but not sure his agent will see it that way .. it’s all down to money and not what’s best for Aribo sorry to say

One way or another, there's no chance he'll be playing League One football next season. He's far too good for that.

Definitely good enough for the Championship . I’d love it to be with us , but I’m not confident it will be.

Definitely good enough for the Championship . I’d love it to be with us , but I’m not confident it will be. So much rests on the outcome of this season - same for Williams, Cullen and perhaps Bielik - in other words our entire midfield! At least we are 99% sure to land up in the play-offs so 50% chance of a game at Wembley.

I hope he may 'do a Gomez' and sign a new contract so that the Club can get a decent fee when he moves on.

Looks like another agent getting in the way and only interested in himself .. Aribo told LB and SG in a meeting this week he wants to stay and sign a new deal ... but LB said we have to get past his agent first ......

Doesn’t the player pay the agent to look after him. If he wants to stay,he will stay.

Doesn’t the player pay the agent to look after him. If he wants to stay,he will stay. Sadly, what the player wants is to maximise their earnings over a very short career. Factor in that Joe was never really in an academy then you can understand why he wants to do that. Mr 10%'s real role is to get the best possible wage for his client. Aribo can tell everyone he wants to stay here, but he'll be off at the drop of a hat as soon as a decent offer comes in.

But the ultimate decision rests with the player not the agent.

Depends on maturity of player and how persuasive and greedy the agent is imho

Depends on maturity of player and how persuasive and greedy the agent is imho The trouble is the player sees the pound signs and wants to move. As well as the money you have to think if your career is being advanced. Was Josh Magennis career advanced by joining Bolton? Ok he played in the Championship, for a while, but his pay was delayed on a number of occasions and he will end up back in League one with a weakened team.

Agents are a big factor in the moden game , and for me they have a bit too much power unfortunately.
It’s a bit of a conflict of interests sometimes, ok they are paid to get the best deal they can for their player , but I wouldn’t be surprised if what the best deal is for the agent also comes into the equation. I bet managers often hate having to deal with them .
