A good left back who could more than do a job for us get him signed up Pards and lets start as we mean to go on

Im not so sure.
Thatcher I would release whilst we all know about Yougas temperament and he is also partial to loss of form.
I thought Basey did well at left wing last week and this could possibly be the position for him.
To be honest I would rather a good solid experienced left back before Youga or Thatcher and if the Connolly rumours are true Pardew must feel that we need one and of the two I know which one I would rather us go for.

i really rate Youga. i think if he was given a dozen games in a row to prove himself he'd really go on to be a great player for us. Basey would be solid cover, but i agree about releasing Thatcher. I hope he trims down the squad a bit next year - two players for every position, with loans used to cover injury crises.
Is Harley really any good? I don't know that much about him. How come Burnley have released him?

Well he was a youngster at Chelsea so he has the experience and he left Burnley after failing to agree a new deal.
I think he was only ofered one year and he wanted two.

In our situation do we really need three players challenging for one position......idealy the answer would be yes...I just think there are bigger priorities myself, as useful an addition as Harley may be. We need to reduce the size of the squad.
