Glad I did this. Came back green so currently ok.
So grateful to the club for helping me put my mind at ease. Best £20 I’ve ever spent (I had no change)

I advise all males to have this check done.
We had a new GP who asked me when was the last time I had a check. When I said never, he was shocked. I had one done there and then, which discovered I had prostate cancer. Fortunately, mine was it it's early stages and the operation to remove it proved successful. Although I do have chemo injections and blood test every three months, which I have had since January 2008.
The test isn't very pleasant, but better that than to die from that form of cancer.

I have my test every other year - the key with prostate cancer (and almost all other cancers) is to check regularly as the earliest it is diagnosed the greater the opportunity for a successful treatment. Well done to this initiative

Interestingly my GP won't put me forward as I have no family history or particular symptoms, but I am doing it anyway. I've met too many people that got it and found out by chance. £15 donation asked for and well worth it imo.
I know it's only a blood test, but I can't shake the image of a line of Charlton fans with their arses in the air to the sound of snapping rubber gloves - shudder.
