Just another game to make the club not manageable. So are you suggesting the rumours about a takeover are not true and just a ruse? Despite the multiple posters on here saying a purchase was ongoing.

I am led to believe that the original bidder has lost all patience with the current owner. This is because the deal structure was to include Duchâtelet keeping a share in the club, more than likely the stadium and/or the training facility or some equity in both. This bid originated from Australia I am also led to believe. There is however another interested party who are willing to acquire the club lock stock and barrel, but the two sides valuations do not meet and the difference is substantial. My contact believes that Duchâtelet is keen to keep a holding in the club as I previously alluded to. This would be a deal of some complexity and thrashing it out may have hit one stumbling block too many. The local newspaper shopkeeper agrees with you......so it must be true
Airman Brown I have also heard that a serious problem has blown up between the two major parties.

Due Diligence, why would you allow anyone to undertake before you have agreed a price in principle, adjusted if any unforeseen items are discovered.
Competition will get the highest price in most circumstances, why state not for sale and then discuss terms with a single party.

Just another game to make the club not manageable. Indeed - something for everybody to discuss instead of rallying behind the team which is currently on track for two points per game (assuming we win tonight). CARD aren't interested in discussing the football unless we are losing!

If takeover talks are taking place only a handful of individuals would be aware, and these individuals would be trusted, purchasers would not want other parties to know discussions taking place. Sounds like a made up story followed by Chinese whispers imo.

He was standing in Floyd Road 72 hours ago trying to sell his comic by shouting out 'Read all about the latest takeover news' yet today he posts that he has heard that a serious problem has blown up between the two major parties!!! Get this comedian on stage for Christs sake at Live at The Apollo....the blokes on a different planet to the rest of us!! They never read this place according to many, yet a post on here this morning has left them all running for the Prozac!!! We own Charlton Life!! forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/77551/roland-duchatelet-ready-to-sell-charlton-page-143-reports-of-deal-stalled/p144

If you read page 145 on the thread link that Reams has posted..... Airman Brown quotes the following " I don’t have and have never claimed to have a complete picture"..... This seems to be at odds with the headline of the latest copy of VoTV........ on P146 he states " I doubt if Duchatelet is willing to risk millions in further losses to score points against me, to be honest.".... Mega egotisitical and delusional

Fortune 82nd Minute 2:59PM When I was standing next to Daisy in the Club Shop on Saturday, I really shouldn't have been so British and just bit my tongue. Trust me if I ever find myself in a similar situation again the tongue will not be bitten.
Must be time for a HUGE demonstration at the Portsmouth game if the cnut hasn't gone by then.
INVITATION!! Come and sit next to me and protest you wind bag!

Just heard from a impeccable itk source that talks are back on. Let us see what happens. Meanwhile over in la la land "Two sheds retaining The Valley isn't necessarily the end of the world as long as the contract is watertight...." to which Airman Brown retorts: "Absolutely agree. But perhaps someone has just moved the goalposts." So let's get this straight. CARD advocates that CAFC is run as badly as Coventry and other crisis clubs and then supports a proposal whereby an interested party who can't afford to buy the Valley gets their mits on our club. If they can't afford the Valley then they can't afford to compete at the top of the Championship where some clubs lose £20-25M per annum. And in the background KR marches forwards with two points per game enhancing our promotion chances and adding value to the club. But that story is of no interest to CARD!

Oh yes , they are massive fans . That's why many of them never go to watch and support thei team when they are playing well, Others don't know when we are playing , don't care if we win or lose , or intend setting foot in the ground again until they get what they want . Yes great fans .
Their bitterness and hatred had made them irrational , and unable to see the team and the club as anything other than RD

At The Valley now strangely the blind is down in the boardroom and seems to be crowded in there.

Just heard from a impeccable itk source that talks are back on. Any businessman will always have a metaphorical ‘for sale’ sign out but it doesn’t mean its for sale. The owner is only a steward of the club and will sell when he or his Executors/Attorneys are ready be it in one day or 20 years time. I for one am in no rush for RD to sell but I’m just an ordinary fan not the special one

Jeez since lardiman left us it's obvious that he's still hearing those voices.
lardiman Well-Known Member Joined:Mar 6, 2016 Messages:685 Likes Received:702 Rick Everitt appears to have let Charlton fans down big-time. Whatever his reasons, be they honourable or self-serving, he has lost a great deal of trust and probably respect.
But however foolishly or arrogantly he has behaved, whether he was misled himself or misled others concerning this 'takeover' in my opinion RE is not the enemy of Charlton Athletic.
Roland Duchatelet is the enemy. He would be enjoying the humiliation of RE, except that he doesn't care one way or the other. This whole business is another kick in the head for every fan who cares about our Club, and has that bond used to hurt us again and again.

pRick is now claiming that Paul Elliott is still involved in fronting some kind of bid.
Didn't Bexley Boy get ridiculed by Over The Top on here a few days ago for saying the same ?
