The Aussie rumour has resurfaced again if it goes through will it torpedo our promotion hopes ?

Treat it for what it is, rumour from certain people stirring shit up.
There has been no new or strange faces around The Valley recently.
If Roland does sell up it will be in the close season.
Season will not be derailed

From what I have read of the Aussie takeover it sounds a shambles

If and when it happens, then I will believe it.

Not sure how it will ruin anything unless it comes at a time during the January transfer window... do you really think any perspective new owner is going to want to put their own person in charge of the first 11 if charlton are in and around promotions spots!?
It won’t effect anything IF it happens, and would arguably help it rather than hinder a push

I can assure you as of last week the Aussie takeover was dead due to them not getting the funding to fulfil the deal that had been agreed .... they even asked Paul Elliott to come on board two months ago to help raise finance ...

As always the only reason this story exists is because 1) Everitt's VOTV sales are down (He still never answered my question on whether he declares tax on them) and 2)He's still clinging onto desperation like a saddo does.
RD is not selling to any Australian consortium.

RD is not selling to any Australian consortium. It wasn’t advertised as a main story, nor was it even a story- and Everitt has said more than one party and hasn’t focused on the Australians I’ll leave the ‘piece’ here to be fair and let others make their mind up : “Despite a lack of speculation in the media, we can report that there continue to be noises off about a potential takeover in the relatively near future, and not just from the Australian consortium"

I hope that wasn't the actual quote - "continue to be noises off about a potential takeover " - is his audience especially thespian?

Potential takeovers can happen anytime at any place, he's connected one to us many a time without substance.

"we can report that there continue to be noises off about a potential takeover"
...any noises off are entirely from the bottoms of Everitt and his sad little shit-coloured lap dog on here farting their disgruntlement that the doom and gloom they spent all summer prediting has turned out to be total ballcoks.

Why do you say that jonkool ? Maybe Ashley saw what Slater and Jimenez did with a bit of backing behind them.
The majority of our fans are still in the mind set that we are a small football club that are not attractive to any new owners.

We should be, being in London and in a area where houses and flats are being built.

Story on VOTV website that a deal could happen soon with the Aussies Now is an ideal time for a takeover since the squad is clearly much improved from last season and a new owner has the opportunity to make further investment in January to enhance our chances. If there is no deal now then there is a case for RD to invest in the squad for the same reasons and thus attract buyers at the price he is looking for. VotV is a laugh "Despite a lack of speculation in the media, we can report that there continue to be noises off about a potential takeover in the relatively near future, and not just from the Australian consortium". Literally covering all the bases whilst running with a story that their readership will lap up. Why not simply talk about the football and the rebuild by KR? Ah yes, that would mean crediting CAFC with some success!

My question would be do we need a takeover now ? The club has finally settled and moving both off and on the pitch in the right direction , but if investment in jan and we could be a championship side next season which could then be sold for more money , if we don’t make it RD could still sell then .... .fear his new owners want their own people and that could disrupt what we are building at the club ....

People need to know the hold up in the takeover that was close to completion in the summer was due to the Aussie not getting the funding required to purchase the valley now ... the original deal the valley was going to be rented back to the club rent free for 4 years by RD with a price of 25 mill due then

The sad thing is not one of the anti RD brigade has actually asked the question "What does take over mean to Charlton Athletic FC in terms of investment, and what are their aims?"
