Great value as usual.
Not allowed to say anything about what he has said but I feel I can say he put forward a very well structured reason/reasons as to why Andy Reid was sold...all of which made sense......on the other hand Richard, I've heard it all before countless times from countless chairmen and managers over the years re selling our best players!
I must say I think he got off a bit lightly re that question.
I went to the meeting determined to button hole him re this issue but he's such a nice genuine guy I just didn't have the heart to possibly give him a rough ride....it's been a hell of a bad few months for all of us, so no need to make it any worse.
The guy from the floor that asked him the question did so in a somewhat limp wristed fashion (almost as an afterthought as a matter of fact), I had been determined to ask the question myself but with a bit more bite and passion to it....so the moment was lost in some way.I think had I asked it would have been a bit more of a lively debate on that subject.....unquestionably a missed oportunity to put forward the fans point of view and if posts on the message boards are anything to go by, our displeasure.
I just can't give the guy a hard time though...he's so wound up in the club and it's current plight that you can see it genuinely takes a toll on him.
Great chairman and genuine fan, pure and simple.....and like all of us, he's hurting right now.
