He'll be back soon enough...if the fella feels he wants to go on playing then we really have to let him do so.
I'd like to think there's a tacit agreement that he'll be back at The Valley sooner or later...I'm positive Pardew and 'everyone else' (including Sir Chris of Powell himself) is very mindful of that.
Don't worry too much folks, I guarantee you he will return.

Absolutely Rev. Please don't make the mistake of playing him next season. He went out on a fantastic high, and I want to remember him that way, rather than thinking he went on too long. Learn his trade and come back one day as 1st team coach under Kinsella would be my dream ticket.

Agreed. Great servant to the club, but if he wants to play on for another season it needs to be at a lower level.
Im not ashamed to admit I had a tear or two in my eye when he scored....
