More French players sought

A life long friend of mine who I later played amateur football with has ben running his own business in Montpellier for 9 years and I keep in touch although not all that regular.

Anyway my point is that apparantly we had a scout or two at one of their recent games and according to him we are looking at players from at least 2 French clubs.

No names mentioned although the pre-season match with Nancy could give off a few clues.

Im a little bit surprised by this given that Moo2 and Racon haven't been given a chance really this season.

Perhaps were trying to overpower the opposition with garlic?

Seriously I feel that Moo2 and Racon will feature more next season. What would be nice would be the unearthing of a new Henry or an Anelka or maybe a Zidane. Just think of that eh?

I don't blame them for looking in France. The French academy churns out technically gifted players by the dozen.

Arent we using Nancy as our feeder club to get the boys from the Ivory Coast playing in the EU and therefore through the UK work permit minefield?

And AS Nancy...One of our lads from AESC is with them...Hence the preseason match
