Igor blowing out of his arse, KAG not good enough, Bergdich thinks he can play at the pace they play on Spain, no out and out left winger, nobody capable of shooting from outside the box, no attacking central midfielder, nothing up front without Watt....I could go on.
It was three points lost today because Wolves were there for the taking, a very average side who got the better of a poor one on the day.
Nobody is coming in unless a player goes out which is madness. We are three short and the squad we have is not good enough once the injuries kick in as we are seeing at the moment.
Came away from Molyneux very disconsolate today and my head was down, not because we lost but because of what lies ahead if we don't strengthen. We have very few goals in us without Watt and Makienok.

Here we go ...
6 games against top sides in this div and we have only lost one ......... yes we have injuries but Luzon said they should be ok after international break then we look strong again .... We have made another offer for Henry late last week and wait for the answer , but if wolves hold out for 1 million then tell them to piss off we will wait ...... Pennent will sign a short term deal on Tuesday and a loan right back as cover will come in two weeks ......

That's very unfair to say as we head into the international break in the situation we do. These things listed above didn't seem to be an issue when we were beating the likes of QPR and Hull, and drawing with teams like Derby and Forest away.
All these new players are still settling in and things will catch up with them. Bergdich will grow and grow and it's Igor's second game without a pre season.
We have been unlucky with injuries on the attacking front but after the break hopefully we will have a fully fit squad.

Bexley, I was at the game today you weren't so believe me when I tell you we were poor after we scored. We looked better at 0-0 than we did 1-0 which tells me that we buckled under moderate pressure. Wolves are nothing special at all but use the ball much better and their heads. Our decision making in the final third was pathetic at times for this level.
Finally I will repeat what I have said on another thread for you.....Katriene Meire has told DFT who I was with today that nobody is coming in unless somebody goes out so get used to having no Left midfielder good enough, no attacking midfielder who can score goals from 20 yards or get in the box and no striker who looks dangerous enough the amount of goals that we need our strikers to be scoring.
Not being a doom merchant mate, just being very very realsitic and today we looked poor going forward which we will continue to do until new players arrive but as I said that looks highly unlikely now.

Wolves are not a good side and yet they dominated for the first half hour...and the last. The club did well with signings and we don't miss the better players who left - excect Bulot. Bergdich is not the answer.
And we need more chances and more goals to really compete at the top.
I don't think anybody expected Vetokele to play so long today but hopefully that helps his performance next month.
We all know this squad isn't the finished article and needs to grow in age and experience. But two more quality players will help accelerate progress.
Put another way, 1,000 away fans watching that today is one thing but 15,000 home fans deserve wins vs poor teams after nine years of mostly dross.
If they don't witness decent performances and wins at the Valley in September then they've been short changed.

Yep, don't do many away games these days.
Did your season ticket get lost in the post again this year?

Charlton CEO, Katrien Meire, arrived at Molineux in a Porsche driven by her Wolves counterpart, Jez Moxey.
That was a huge clue that the pair had been talking business, could they strike a deal that would take James Henry to The Valley?
I judge the team on the 6 games not one ...... Injuries played a part a full team today we would have won .....

Probably better if you judge us on 46 not just the 6 mate.
As for Henry change the record, she travelled to Wolverhampton by train, possibly picked up yes but that was no more than hospitality shown by Wolves who would have known she was coming by rail and offered to pick her up, it's what people do.

I really think big mak getting injured changed the game for us in terms of prep and game plan. No way we could expect igor to play 75mins and be his old self. Disappointing for me is our lack of killer instinct at 1.0! Having missed on 4 of our last 52 league games I really feel from today we haven't learnt a lesson that 1.0 in this division isn't enough and we shut up shop far too easily and early today and invited pressure. However I'm happy with the start if we can find that killer instinct and kill a game off and not sit back when winning we will be well up their

That's football, Not at all Offit, I just give an honest assessment of each game I see and today I was disappointed in several aspects of our game. Wolves were far from impressive today. Against Hull I was on my feet every two minutes thrilled by what I was seeing. Today at Wolves we looked like a side who are unable to cope with injuries because the players who were brought in don't quite have it. We have a good side but an average squad.

We are all annoyed by a poor performance / result. It happens. How we bounce back and whether the club sign more quality is what determines the next few games.

We did well up to H/T, but even before our goal it was obvious the boys were losing confidence, shape and focus. Once Big Mak went off we lost the ability to retain possession up top, and the sheer weight of pressure was a given once Wolves got their game together.
The weaknesses within the squad were laid bare today, and yet, frustratingly, we have a starting eleven (when fully fit) that can mix it with the division's best; however, our squad depth must be as shallow as the division's weakest.
According to my source, Gary Hooper is close to signing for us on a season-long loan deal.

But you can't quantify that statement if you have seen the last few matches. We are a bit unlucky all three of our strikers are struggling for fitness, but this won't last long. Once we have a fully fit Vetokele/Watt we have Big Mac back. Things will be fine. Besides we have the academy to rely on. Don't go crazy negative from one match in shitty Wolverhampton. You were jumping off your seat last week.

I think losing big Mak was the turning point in the game for me. Wolves had most of the play for the first 20 minutes, but we gradually settled in to the game and started to play. Mak was winning everything in the air and giving there CH's a torrid time. Unfortunately he had to go off and Igor was never going to be ready to play that long in the game and boy did it show. At times we played some decent football, but not sustained. I don't know if it is playing two games every week, but we seem to have a lack of fitness for the last 15 minutes of most games.
The break is desperately needed to get the squad fit. It's a shame that it appears we will not be signing anyone else as I think we are 2/3 short of a decent squad. We need to pray that we have better luck with injuries until January!

I didn't attend the game today due to work but I think we are overreacting a little. 4/5 players who would get in to the starting Xi missing and I think having Hendo back to his best asap will boast the teams confidence. No need to panic

I'd say that was fair comment.
I'm a Wolves fan who likes Charlton and have plenty of Charlton mates and associates. On that showing both teams were poor. Wolves let in a soft goal (you'll see it on the highlights) and Charlton tried to defend it. Wolves scrappy goal did nothing to perk Charlton up and then after the second they started playing for the first time. That last 5 minutes and the seven of added-on time was the only decent spell all match...so IMO that fitness wasn't the issue with Charlton.
They were two teams who looked nothing better than mid-table fodder.

Not being provocative but if Wolves hold out for £1 mill what they're saying is piss off to Charlton. As for Pennant, he's toast and will add nothing to a settled team. He'll see it as a bit of money to replace some of that which he's lost...like the £50,000 car which he forgot he had that he parked outside a Spanish railway station a few years ago. Just my take on it.

No need to panic Not an overreaction at all. I have seen 3 of the 5 and while I have been impressed in the main, I have felt that we have lacked a star player like most teams have. Yesterday we seemed to want it more at 0-0 than we did at 1-1, we were very poor in the final third and need a left sided midfielder and somebody on his inside who can run at defences, we need a player who can run down the middle and have a shot from distance, at the moment we just haven't got him.

This is what Luzon said:
"Of course I am very disappointed because I am pleased with our performance especially in the second half. "We played well and played positive football, we moved the ball well. We scored one and had a chance to score the second. "In the second half we had an influence on the game and took possession. I changed the tactics a bit and played with three in the midfield and we played better. So I am very disappointed because I think that we deserved more then zero points. But it is part of the game and we continue."
I think Charlton did move the ball well and they played as a unit, unlike Wolves who were incredibly disjointed. For the first 15 minutes of the second half Charlton had the lion's share of possession and did deserve the goal. But Wolves were poor so a decent performance against a poor team isn't a great endorsement.
In conclusion, Luzon is realistic and I've always appreciated his honesty - especially in those dark days last season.
