Were did you stand or sit?
I was in teh North right hand side back or the little terrace on the West

When I was a kid the front railings of the East Terrace and I would sometimes sit on the wall at the top.
Teens and in my twenties Covered End (where else!!) smack in the middle of ALL the action.
From then on West Stand as a season ticket holder (or the equivelent at Smellhurt and Upton Park).
Now West Upper, got a fantastic seat smack on the halfway line a few rows from the back, the view is the dogs bollox!

As a kid like The Rev above, I used to stand on the front railing of the East. As I got older I used to stand around the half-way line just below the horizontal gangway on the East but during my late teens it was the Covered End or the South Terrace depending on how late I got to the ground and how much away support there was. Sometimes I used to change ends at half time. - Happy days!! ;D

East stand, half way line with the footpath right behind me, other side of the pitch to the Directors Box.
