I will not be dwelling on the past two days but there is something that I would like to clear up regarding the allegation of a serious breach of copyright issues on Sunday night.
I retreived the player of the season article from the OS and put it on fansonline attributing it to the OS, so no breach of copyright was ever committed.
However in an e-mail from Steve Goldby he told me that there had been a complaint.
Below is an e-mail received today from Matt Wright sent to me after I had contacted him to apologise.
I rest my case and although I have no desire to waste anymore of my breath on this individual I feel that the truth has to be spoken.
Lies will never prevail.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the message, which Tom has passed on to me. I’m sorry to hear of your situation.
I read your message with interest.
I thought I should reassure you that neither Tom or myself have complained about the article in question – indeed, we were both unaware of it until we received your message – so you have no need to apologise to us/the club.
For the record, although there might be some circumstances where my view might change, I have no problem with people using the official website’s editorial content for their own purposes.
In an ideal world I would prefer it to be used for ‘research’ than simply plagiarism (as the Times did with the news Leroy Lita was being recalled on Monday), but I also appreciate that it’s a ready source for quotes. Therefore, put simply, it’s nothing to do with us!
If any further clarification is required, feel free to contact me.
All the best,
Kind regards, Matt Wright
