Why is it you think you are so great? You are another one who DEFINITELY doesn't go to the matches... when was the last time you actually were there on the terraces cheering our side on. Everybody is entitled to an opinion but people who go the games have a lot more respect than someone like you who hasn't even got the brains not to post when the game is on to even appear although you might turn up... It did make me laugh though when you gave your CAFC goal updates – any supporter worth his / her salt would have been at the match and definitely not on this message board. Your pathetic attempts at being CAFC's 'top and most knowledgeable’ supporter are superbly under-whelmed by your constant and bitter attacks on the club, it's staff and players. OK, this is your message board but I thought it is meant to be about Charlton but so far today (sorry, yesterday when the match was on) you have mentioned Dagenham (birthplace club… some kind of tenuous support for the club or what..?) and Bournemouth and that’s just looking at about two or three of your messages. Like you, I too am the son of an ex-Charlton player but I would never go around showing off about it like many have me told me that you do. In my a opinion – probably not worth that much to many on this message board I know – you are the worst example of a cyber warrior, giving it the big ‘un from the safety of hiding behind your computer screen. Here’s to everybody on the board who does go to the game and who is entitled to an opinion but to me, someone like you who obviously hasn’t been to The Valley for a very, very long time isn’t worth the time of day. Perhaps if you do start earning some advertising revenue from running this board, you might be able to afford to travel to London for a home match or even an away game, perhaps in the Midlands which is closer to Wrexham where I’m led to believe you are now living. I suppose when they win promotion back to the Football League, you will be calling them your adoptive new home club…

Hans It's not Steve Goldby, although I have been looking at the FansOnLine site. I'm afraid you're wrong. I don't want to fall out with any Addick but rather just highlight how rotten it was of Paul to do what he tried to do to Charlie, the new kid who has taken over the Valley Floyd Road site. If you are about next Sunday before the Coventry match, I will be in the Bugle Horn prior to the game. Fancy a pint and a chat about it? Same goes for the HenryIrving string - just highlighting how pathetic his attempts - obviously inspired by Reams - to wreck the efforts of Charlie Hill whom I do know as his father and younger brother sit near me at The Valley. This is how I know a little of what has happened at the Charlton FOL website.. BTW, HenryIrving, the offer applies to you - perhaps a pre-match drink and a chat might well clear the air. We, as CAFC fans must be on the same page from now because I fear that next season will be harder than this one and we must get solidly behind our team.

What an utterly strange individual Surely if you had issues with me you would send me a private post rather than try to score points by talking to me with the whole member base as your audience, as it is Im glad you didn't because people wouldn't believe what waffle you are coming out with even if I spent all day telling them. For the record, Sfannyhorpre, Cardiff, Barnsley, and Leicester at home whilst I went to Coventry away. Those are the games I have attended this season. Not the greatest attendance record, but that is due to personal circumstances which I do not have to justify to yourself. Moving back home from Cardiff has not only aded 3 hours onto the round trip but a greater expense too, one which due to my college course this year and last I cannot meet, SO WHAT. I doubt very much that if you were to go back 3 0r 4 seasons you could not match my attendance record when I was able to go to 30+ games home and away but hey who cares. I make up for my situation of being unable to go to games by getting involved in other ways like running websites. Finally I would advise you to delete your accusation that I have done something to STITCH Charlie up. I do not know the guy, never heard of him and have no desire to put obstacles in the way of his new job. Do not post malicious inuendo without saying what it is that you are referring to, you say; " I THINK IT WAS ROTTEN OF PAUL TO DO WHAT HE TRIED TO DO TO CHARLIE" Err! what is it that I have done exactly, please feel free to tell me, do not post such things then conveniently stop short of what the accusation is meant to be there's a good chap. As for the Bugle Horn, I look forward to hearing your opinions when I visit for the 1st home game of next season. Oh and finally I am not the son of an ex-Charlton player and I do not recall an Addick player with the surname James either. The board is not mine it is for the fans by the fans, please pay closer attention in the future.

Reames, I know he's not Steve Goldby but his name IS Steve. He 'claims' his father played for Charlton, well the only Charlton player with his surname (which I wont at this stage reveal) had the christian name of Wilf ( I refer to the book The Valiant 500). Wilf was born in Wales in 1907 so how old must Richard Jobson be if his claim is true? I suggest Richard Jobson changes his poster name to Utter Bollox!

The only Richard Jobson I have ever heard of used to be a pro footabller. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Jobson_(footballer)However our Mr Jobson is just a forum name and has a different real name which if true would suggest that Charlton once had a player by the same surname. The problem is on My Addicks database, no such name has ever appeared in a Charlton shirt. I suggest we pay no attention to him and if he has Charlie's best interests at heart why is he not over there trying to help him build the site back up

There was a Wilf James born in Wales in 1907. Joined Charlton in 1932 from West Ham for £600, which most unusualy was paid by the Charlton manager Alex McFarlane from his own pocket, later refunded by the club. Wilf was evidently a huge character in the dressing room and much loved by all at the club. Incidently, £600 was a shyte load of dosh in those days. Played 29 times as a midfielder/forward, only a little fella 5ft 8inches and weighed in at 11stone 4lbs. Scored 3 goals. Capped twice for Wales whilst on West Hams books. Is that your dad Stevie boy(Utter Bollox)...I DON'T THINK SO!!!

I think it's more likely related to the name of the forum, i.e. the lead singer of The Skids .... ;D
