I am pretty new to this forum posting lark although I have been reading them for ages.
I have decided to sign up to this one because of Reams mainly...not because I agree with him all of the time, (in fact I hardly ever agree with him) , but because he has a clear passion for the club. He is a fan first and an administrator second.
He puts his opinions out there and that is what these forums should be all about IMO.
Good luck with the site Reams....let's hope we can get some old school banter going between ourselves and maybe more importantly, with fans of other clubs.
I appear to be the odd one out but I have actually quite enjoyed this season despite the often very average (okay - crap) performances. I think that my expectations may have been lower than most but have found myself actually going to away games again which have gone some way to rekindling the spirit that I had for the club in the pre / early Prem days.
I think that the whole 'prem' experience is overrated for CAFC fans in the current environment. We cannot compete in the prem
and I for one would rather remain in the 2nd flight than be this seasons Derby or next seasons Hull / Bristol City. No disrespect to either clubs as they have done fantastically well this year but if they go up they will get murdered. I don't really fancy that
experience and cannot see how it is going to change........
Anyway, I will definitely be back next year and look forward
to the possibility of being entertained by players who are committed to the Charlton cause. Hopefully a couple of the young 'uns will get a chance to shine....
I live in hope.
