Slovenia has now been confirmed and I believe there is a possibility that Dobson's 'new' club will be among our pre-season friendly opponents.

Matt Smith has left Salford. Always been a goalcorer. I would release Wickham and go for him.

Nicks views are not the issue here. The issue is his constant abuse of fellow fans who have differing views. He's been warned multiple times about his behaviour, but can't seem to prevent the abuse from his posts (or DMs). Hence why he's never on any forum for long. Whether he gets another chance in the future or not remains to be seen. He's not here currently and there are plenty of different views on this forum with or without him. Please can we keep on the topic of transfer rumours going forwards. They are mate. They're talking about Nick's free transfer! 😆

Could the NJ's factor temp Harry Cornick? Doesn't look to be a nailed on starter at BC. Granted he might not want to drop a level, but if he enjoyed working with NJ previously? Just fun to start the speculation and see if NJ can put his Luton band back together. It's not him but I agree he's a very good player. Would love to see him at the club. I don't want his entire Luton team here but Sonny Bradley is another former player of his and he would be a good signing too.

One of my mates went and one of the players said we’re playing in Slovenia pre-season. Nathan Jones took Luton there before. Celje, Maribor, Oimpija Ljubljana and Gorica all in negotiations about friendlies.

Had the name of the first player we are talking to today. Would be a good move for us. No clues other than to say it's down to the Nathan Jones effect! 😃 If he comes, it wouldn't be the first time Nathan has managed him. defender ? No and definitely not a left back as being reported elsewhere. I hope it comes to fruition and in there lies a clue.

Fuck me they have done it again.
0-2 at home to second place Stuttgart with 15 minutes left. They pull a goal back then go and equalise in the 90+7 minute.
It defies all logic, they simply refus eto lose. Today was the first time all season that they have been 2-0 down in a game.
Thye have scored 27 goals this season from the 80th minute onwards.
They face Roma in a two leffed Europa cup tie and have three Bundesliga games left to go through the whole season unbeaten. No team in the history of German football has gone through the domestic season without losing a match.
I hope they do it, I love watching them.

Can we steal Connor Chaplin off them then…..….he would be perfect for our new number 10……🤣🤣 Would imagine targets are already being lined up and agents spoken to……I think this summer will differ from previous recruitment processes…….An Ipswich promotion budget to go with Pompey’s strategy of getting the squad together quickly will be NJ’s aim…..and no dodgy Man City loan players……🤣…….in fact if they ain’t in the Rak Saki quality bracket of loans I don’t see many loans coming in at all…..NJ wants to coach his own players and not other clubs unless they will significantly improve us…..The likes of Chen Campbell etc……I can’t see happening this summer Its going to be an interesting June/ July….. I don't think we can ignore the potential of the loan market. However, I do think we need to be more picky with who we bring in. I think that one player Nathan will target will be his former captain at Luton Sonny Bradley.

I understand that Jones will have a cushty budget in the summer and when I ask what kind of path we are going to go down to enable us to launch a serious bid next season, the Ipswich model keeps being referred to.

“We will bring in a number of players – we know exactly the positions we want to bring them in. All those players will be of a level that they improve the 11. We don’t want to bring squad players in because we have got a big enough squad. We have got young players and ones from the academy we will promote.[
None of the clubs who will go up this season of finish in the play-offs did so by promoting players from the academy. I see nothing that jumps out myself and it is totally the wrong way forward. That is a board decision so they need to take a step back and stop meddling in something they know nothing about as this season has proved.
Any youngsters that are good enough need to go out on loan to learn first team football, we cannot have another season when under par teenagers are learning on the job in our team. I am sick of this club cutting corners.

Aneke and Kanu could be there until midnight and still not score.
If I had my way, both would be gone over the summer, Kanu out on loan to a club more his level.
Really annoyed me.

Another amazing statistic I have worked out this morning is despite being the Bundesliga's second highest scorers on 74, goals, their top scorer is Viktor Boniface on just 11 and he hasn't played since the African Nations Cup after picking up an injury!!
Their defenders have contributed 24 goals which include an 8 from wingback Frimpong and 9 from Grimaldo a CB!
Their midfield has chipped in with 28 goals between six players and upfront four strikers have combined to score 20.
There have been two own goals in their favour.
That's what you call goals across the entire squad!!

If the ground held that many maybe fans who have been there through thick and thin could get a ticket. 8000 'fans' have only been here five minutes and seen two promotions. If the owners walked away tomorrow and the club were taken over by people these fans had never heard of the plastics would walk away. Their obsession is with the owners not the club.

I keep reading all of the overreaction and what bad news it is for lower clubs that FA Cup replays are being scrapped.
The solution is quite simple in my opinion and that is to do what the German FA do which is drawing ALL of the top tier teams from the Bundesliga and the top 12 I think it is from Bundesliga II, out of the hat as the away team at the stage where they enter the competition and then drawing out the 32 lower level teams who are left in the competition as the home teams. It ensures they are all guaranteed a bumper crowd which in some cases covers the cost of their season.
If all of these English clubs who are putting statements out, need to rely on a possible huge FA Cup payday to help them get by, then they are doing something wrong.
