We just do not have the quality to compete with the likes of Huddersfield, Swinon and Millwall at the moment whilst Colchester who I personally don't rate also have something on us which is not knowing how to lose.
These sides have the momentum they are steam rolling opponents and have goalscorers too who are in form, I have said all season that we have players up front who are ineffective we also do not have the impact players that our rivals do in all areas so all in all as I say I really do think that it is Goodnight Vienna.
Huddersfied are the side that I want to compare us to more than anybody else, they know that their home stadium is a fortress an the only thing holding them back was their form on the roa so what do they do?,.....Have an in house to address it and instill a winning mentality which has brought them four straight wins away from home.
The one thing that Isn't so clear and I can't fathom out the answer is why we have become a poor team almost overnight, some say it doesn't happen I say we are living proof that it does.
Matty Spring won't pull up any trees when it comes down to skill on the ball but he'll run all day for you and will break up opponents play, yet he doesn't get a look in, every other midfielder at the club has been given a chance so is Spring the worst of the crop then? Not a chance.
If you ask me Murray was once again as subtle as a sledgehammer not long back when coming out and saying that if we fail to gp up, players will have to go.......Ok fair enough, but coming out with that when our slump began surely has to be grossly mistimed as all of a sudden we have a side who were flying suddenly then playing with things hanging over them, the talk of administration was enough in itself before Murray's comments.
Wasn't this almost like saying to some of the players "get promotion or your off"??
"Hey Mr Chairman heep more pressure on us why don't you".
I have been controversial at times but I will openly state here now that another big mistake of Murrays was telling us all about the £4m difference between Championship and League 1 football because if he is prepared to sell our "Better" players in the summer should we fail to win promotion, what's it to him if he can then sell on the back of failure!..... Bailey, Shelvey, Sam, Racon and Semedo will bring him alot more than £4 fecking million!!.
These players are dire at the moment and we all know that they are better than the level that they are currently performing at.
I have been in football a long time, my Dad even longer and I have seen it all before believe me......Something has got to these players big time, their minds are elswhere they are playing with fear an insecurity, it could be that administration is looming large and it has destroyed the team spirit or it could be something that is more deep rooted, whatever it is I think that to a man they have an air of resentment about them at the moment and that is before they even walk on the pitch.
