Yes yr right. Against a so called poorer team pp gambled on a midfield without a spoiling holding player (samedo?) but the risk he takes us that our opponents get to our less than watertight defence as seen in the first half. However let's stick with it in the forthcoming games and see how it looks when we head into our tasty run in. Suspect that pp will fileld a less cavalier team come late march and April.
Good game to watch and reidy and lloydy will do damage if we get the ball out to them quickly. Though jonny Jackson offered alot going forward and more composed than the younger lads and may be with us for the run in given kelly's longterm injury.

I must say I was impressed with our left side, Jackson looked quite solid and looked good getting forward and Reid in front of him frighted the defenders to death. I would be quite happy if we could sign both on permanent for next season. I'm no Parky fan but I have to say a good piece of business getting those two in. Well done Phil.

i couldn't make it, but it sounds like we finally got back to doing what PP told us they were working on at his Q&A session earlier in the season, namely sticking players on either touchline, making the pitch bigger and spreading the play.

excellent result and more importantly performance. Showed patience with the ball. Looking for a pass rather than kicking it long. Llera certainly showed that something had been talked about at the training ground with that in mind. Think he only played a couple of long balls all game.
We looked assured and with the confidence from the passing, the goal came & the negativity was gone from the fans

Elliott is paid to be a 'keeper and he earned his pay, his positional sense was far better than seen all season, we must have a new goalkeeping coach or someone with a bit of nounce has given him a good talking to.
If he can perform the rest of the season like he did on Saturday, not only will we win more matches than we draw, the confidence in the defence will improve knowing that their backs are covered and this confidence will motivate the mid field and strikers to get on with the job in hand, pushing The Club onward and upward to promotion.
With matches on Tuesday (h) and Friday (a) this week, would think that Burton will be rested or on the bench against Brighton, Parky saving him for the Southend match, would think playing 3 games in 6 days could be match too far for Burton, believe PP will start with Mooney and McKenzie tomorrow night.

No...we could have been 3 down at half time. did not start playing till we went 2 up... Yes, they had three chances - but since when does chances always equate to goals? And what about OUR chances - the Bailey one-on-one for example? Or don't they count in Bexley? ;o)

great win, leeds struggled with brighton so we gained on them, not convinced this team quite has it,but they showed class through reid, and johnson could be a jewel

Yeh credit where credit's due, well done Parky and the lads for yet again throwing away an opportunity to keep our diminishing play off chances away with yet another NOTHING performance.
DISGRACE,
