What is Murray doing....Is he looking for anyone save this club or is he waiting for someone to come to him..
I heard that Murray wants tlo be involvoed if someone else takes over that is not going to happen Richard, or is this the real reason why the takeovers have failed...

I should imagine he's just sitting there twiddling his thumbs waiting for your call to tell him what to do bexleyboy.
You seem to be well informed and know all of the answers, clearly. Go on, give him a bell.

I think bexleyboy has a point and a very valid one at that after all what are the high earning trio otherwise known as the executive team assembled by Murray doing exactly, wasn't Peter Varney brought back to generate an interest too?
Now either people are not doing their jobs or we are a club that as previous interest shows a club isn't worth touching with a barge pole, if so why is that?? More hidden debt I think or a prospective buyer doesn't want Murray hanging around after the sale has gone through and quite frankly why should he? why have a figure around that got the club into the shit in the first place, how can any buyer have Murray say to him part of any deal must stipulate that I am still involved......so while a new buyer is bailing us out Murray also expects him to work alongside him?

How do you know Murray has stipulated that he has to still be involved post any takeover or expects to work alongside any new investor(s)?
Anyway, in case you hadn't noticed, money is a bit tight around the globe at the moment and very few people are investing in anything business wise just now, let alone something risky like a football club. I know this to be a fact as it has a direct impact on my working life.
Loads of clubs are looking for investment right now because football as a whole is up shit creek, so it's not just us. But hey, any reason to have yet another tiresome pop at Murray is a good reason for some.

Im not interested in what other clubs are desperate for investmnet this is a Charlton forum so I prefer just to talk about them if that's ok with you.
Correct me if im wrong but hasn't Murray by his own admission stated that he would like to stay involve in some capacity? Christ he has a nerve and dress it up however much you want Richard Murray is the guy who has brought CAFC to it's knees, he as the chairman sanctioned everything and 9 out of 10 decisions were desperate ones I see now after the possible free ticket offer failed to bring him some cash in he now wants to sell 5 year ones, hasn't he stopped to think that we could be in non league football in that time??
This offer alone never mind the others tells me all that I need to know about him, he's a pratt who got lost when Curbishley left, he ha no football nous to go it alone.

Im not interested in what other clubs are desperate for investmnet this is a Charlton forum so I prefer just to talk about them if that's ok with you. But it's relevant to our situation, isn't it? Football is in a mess right across the board. Christ, if clubs like Man U and Liverpool have got money troubles then there's not much hope for the rest of us? So yes, we have clearly fucked up on certain things - and don't think anyone is saying anything different - but in the overall context of where football finds itself we are in a perilous position along with a huge number of other clubs, to a greater or lesser extent. Everyone wants money, very few are looking to invest. That's just the way it is. Football is on it's knees - not just Charlton.

I agree with offit i cant see Murray sitting around. Football is fooked at present and if a wealthly person shows any interest in a football club im sure all chairman wanting investment will bombard these people all trying to put there club in the spot light.
Norwich have a great following in the league not dipped under 23k that must a plus for them

I read a couple of weeks ago in the Mail or it may have been the standard that Sullivan was just going to invest and help Murray into CAFC if he wasnt succesfull with purchasing West Ham. So maybe reams could be right. Who knows !!

"we are a club that as previous interest shows a club isn't worth touching with a barge pole" think this is more the case due to the amount of debt and the Div we are in , West Ham how many mills in debt in the prem , us, 40+ in the 3rd Div , with board members wanting to sell but also wanting a 'slice' once its sold. Im sorry to say but Admin seems to be looming closer and closer each and every day , Offit is very positive but the sums just dont add up , wish I could be as positive !

I don't think I'm being "positive" especially, just not scare-mongering and making statements of FACT without any evidence whatsoever. I'm as worried as the next man.
