On another well known CAFC forum posters are having a pop at the booing even kicking the people out by themselves.
So is it constructive to boo? if it is who should the boos be amied at the players, Parky, the board, the fans ??

Seriously though offit just who the fcuk are they and who appointed them as decison makers on what fans can and cannot do, I booed because it was pathetic from start to finish and PP told us after Orient that we have gifted footballers who will sit down as a group and study where it went wrong last Monday, that is clearly what he told us so what went wrong who listened and who didn't? who motivated his players and who didn't? We don't have the answers but if I was a member of the side involved in the Orient debacle watching the video would have embarrassed me to an extent where I would say to myself I am better than that, the whole side should have been professional enough and hungry enough to take it on the chin and go out next time and run their bollox off just to prove a point but none of them did, they bottled it but at the end of the ay they are average footballers and not as PP says as gifted as he thinks they are.

To Boo or not to boo?
If the team are piss poor how do you show your anger ?
I tell u im no boo boy but if i used my freedom of speech booed i would dare anyone to come near me and throw me out who died and made them GOD ?
I know it was mentioned before over there they hate booing would rather walk out OK is that just as bad for the team to see the masses walk out.
SO i would love someone to tell me what is acceptable so the players, management know we are not happy with the performances the past few weeks.

People on here seem to be strangely obsessed with Charlton Life. It's a place where people air their views, same as here. You don't have to agree with everything posted, same as here.
Why keep going on about it? Strange.

Yes it is but isn't booing a way for people to air their views aswell only according to the politically correct on CL they are telling us all that we have no right to do so.

I can't abide collective booing DURING the game. Why?
1. Given modern players' fragile egos, it can only be detrimental to the performance. Will booing make them play better - I hardly think so. I'd rather see us win than feel self-satisfied at my right to show displeasure cos I've paid to get in.
2. To me it sums up the instant self-gratification & lack of true grit of modern British culture. We steadied the ship at Dunkirk in 1940 after going 0-2 down within 10 mins of kick off, at the Battle of Britain we pulled it back to 1-2 and we didn't equalise until 1943 at El Alamein from where there was only ever going to be one winner. A game lasts 90 mins so give the players 90 mins to sort it out before whingeing.
Of course, moan & cuss at every bad decision as the game goes on but collective booing is out until the final whistle and then only if it's been a one-off abject performance (eg 0-3 at home, not yesterday's game) or it's been a run of piss poor performances (y'day could well qualify but only those who'd personally watched the games could tell me).

Hartlepool, Leyton Orient and Tranmere were all piss poor performances HKA but admitedly I only saw two of those games.
Won't be going again for a while, the day is too long and too expensive to be let down like I was yesterday.

Also healthy to read other peoples views and discuss them you look at some of our other forums they really dont discuss much just post when other than the headline is of the O/S.
So if other sites were just as busy then maybe we would discuss what is on them as well.

agree with HKA, i'm not in to booing during the game. We need players who want to get on the ball. If their scared of being booed when they make a mistake, they'll likely go hiding.
Booing afterwards is a different matter. It's a way of conveying to the players how you feel about their performance, much like the way we chant and sing after a win. I read a comment on another forum (not CL by the way) that went something along the lines of, "you don't boo your friends, family and colleagues whenever they do something wrong", but that's completely different because in that context you can sit down and discuss stuff with them. Fans have a 30 second window after the game to let the players know how they feel, and sometimes the only way to do that is a quick boo. Much as i'd love to sit down with all of them and go through the pros and cons of the game, it's not really an option.

I'm not a fan of booing, but didn't stay to applaud them off either yesterday, but felt that booing was justified. It was almost like everyone was afraid to get injured in case they were being sold. Bytheway where was Shelvey? What I dislike is certain fans who seem to just go there to slag off a certain player. Wycombe the guy in front just shouted abuse every time Sam got the ball. My mate in the West Stand said that there was a bloke the other day did the same with Shelvey. A collective boo OK at the end of the day, but I fail to see how individual abuse is going to help someone play better.

People always have their favourite and least favourite players, but slagging them off constantly isn't the way forward.
A bloke behind me yesterday was actually doing the reverse of that. He clearly rates Shelvey really highly, and was shouting his name every time one of our midfielders gave the ball away.

Some people are in favour, some people are against - with some strong views on either side. Still doesn't explain the obsession with Charlton Life though.

Well maybe its because most of us have been told by not only the administrators that we are not supporters of the club. Thats why I have stopped posting on there.

Prefer not to leftbehind but it did happen after I critised a performance in the 2nd half of the season. One of the main administrators went on the attack. I still look at CharltonLife just wont post on it anymore.
