...that Beckford pulls a muscle that puts him out for the next 4 weeks and then Leeds do a Charlton by selling him at the twelfth hour on deadline day so that they don't have time to replace him.
Otherwise we're playing for 2nd place this season.
With that squad and on that form, they ain't gonna have a wobbly patch.

I am not 100% on this but if Leeds do not sell Beckford he becomes a free agent in the summer, and with them still in two cups that means more games midweek etc etc.

He could go for nothing in the summer but if they don't sell him in Jan, he'll score the goals that will win them the league.
Look what happened to us when we sold Parker, Murphy & Reid in the window.

Can't see them falling that far back. With the £2-3m they'll get for him, they could easily buy two strikers capable of scoring in League One, and don't forget that much of their excellent form this season has been based around a rock solid defence, which won't suddenly become shaky if Beckford leaves.

Agreed about the defence but they've won a lot of games through a single late goal.
I'm hoping he sprains his ankle, keeping him out for 3-4 weeks, transfer is off & on and suddenly goes through for 2mil at 2355hrs on 31 Jan leaving them no time to get replacements in.
