Brian Laws and Brendan Rodgers, the managers at Sheff Weds and Reading respectively.
Their side's are not exactly free flowing in the goals department at the moment so will they look at the form of their players with us and decide that they want some of that too?
It's the dreaded thought in my line of thinking at the moment, of course we can go down the same route and recall Dickson and Fleetwood but all they have in commom with Mooney and Akpo is that they are all strikers, in terms of quality it's a different ball game.
We need to get the wheels in motion now, that's if we haven't already. I would like to see Fleetwood stay, he has potential but if a fee for him from Exeter opens the door to buying one of the loan lads that we have on board, then I would sell.
If buying is not an option, I would definitely extend their loans to season long deals and then see what transpires in the summer, of course gaining their long term services would have to mean that we are in the CCC.
Dickson has to be sold or at the very least exchanged, Benson at Dagenham, as I have said on another thread could be a feasible option if it came down to a player swop, we are more likely to hear that Dagenham fancy him than we are Sheff Weds or Reading so If I were PP I would be weighing that one up.
As for McLeod, well It just hasn't happened for him and we need to recoup what we can for him, maybe £400k which could buy Akpo or Mooney .
As for McKenzie, well what ever contract he signed I hope that we had a cause in it saying that failure to sufficiently recover from injury would mean that we have an option to terminate it because I hear that he is in the casualty ward yet again which is a shame really because a fit Leon could have done well for us.
So my wish list says McKenzie, McLeod and Dickson out with Mooney, Akpo and Benson coming in, surey that would give us alongside Deon, the best strikeforce in the division.
