PHIL Parkinson says neither he or his promotion chasing squad have been distracted by renewed speculation of an imminent takeover at The Valley.
The Addicks are rumoured to be the subject of interest from two parties in the shape of former Birmingham City owner David Sullivan and a Middle Easter consortium fronted by ex-Millwall boss Dennis Wise.
But Parkinson again refused to become embroiled in the on-going saga which has lasted since the early summer when asked today for his views, instead preferring to concentrate on the job in hand.
The Charlton manager said: “I know there are ongoing talks but like I’ve said many times, I’m just blocking that out of my mind and the players’ minds by leaving it to the board. I think that is the only way to deal with it.
“We had a spell in pre-season when we were away in Ireland where all the talk was about takeovers.
“In the end I got the staff together and said that’s it, we aren’t going to mention it again.
“Let’s get on with our jobs, that’s what we are paid to do.
“It shouldn’t affect what we are doing at the training ground and at the moment it hasn’t.”

If Wise becomes manager I think that will be the end of it for a few fans.
